1929 ford model a murray body four door town sedan Hello, thanks for looking.I am selling this car because I have to many projects.I dont think I will get to this one anytime soon. I feel like this car should see the road again, as it would make a unique,spacious and fun hot rod.This car sits on the original frame, its never been apart.As you know the murrays had quite a bit of wood inside, this one needs new wood for a restoration. I was going to make a resto/traditional hot rod out of it, which meant I could have made a steel sub structure inside behind the upholstery for support.Under the hood is a 59A flathead v8 from 46-48 along with a 3 speed side shift transmission,all coupled to the model A torque tube rear axle.The car still has mechanical brakes, which worked very well when I rolled it off the trailer. The engine was running well when pulled from the donor car 10 years ago,(I know...I know....) it is now stuck.A good craftsmen could hone it and ring it, then be on the road, I believe. The transmission is rebuilt.The engine mounts are the type seen in the traditional hot rod book by mike bishop and vern tardel,they are welded in to the frame.A V8 trans mount and crossmember center piece from a 46 ford is included to complete the installation of the center crossmember.The original pedals and steering column are included as well.The original dash is included and is in nice condition.The murray main body of this car is in extremely nice condition. All the sheet metal is straight and true with no rust and no dents,this would make a real nice finished paint vehicle.The fenders,running boards and splash aprons are typical,beat up with some rust,however they are not murray specific.The visor is included as well as two rear underbody tail pan peices.All the window mechs are there and work,need some oil etc.Gas tank is complete,may need sealing. winshield frame is complete and nice,the car has the glass you see (no quarter glass),but should be replaced obviously.The garnish mouldings are missing unfortunately.Both seat are there complete with the adjustable track,the rear center armrest and rear side armrests. The sheetmetal floorpan for the rear is there as well as the front wooden footboards,nice condition.The top sheetmetal side pieces need a bit of work, not bad though.The hood is not great nor is the grille shell.The radiator is model A four still, but it's in good condition. There are some random 18" and 19" wire wheels for the car to roll on if you would prefer not to have the reverse 15" wheels on the rear.The one 16" on the car is not included.What you see is pretty much what you get.There is no title for this one.This would make a really bitchin' daily driver with a slight rubber rake,two carbs,straight pipes and some tuck n roll. A 10 percent deposit is due thru paypal within 48 hours and the rest due within 7 days.I will accept a bank transfer for the remainder,unless the buyer wants to pick up the paypal fees.Transportation responsibilities are up to the new owner,I will help load the car and secure it.The car can stay where it is for up to one month as long as it's paid for in full within the 7 days.
