Vehicle Detail
This auction is for a 1974 Dodge Challenger. It is in original condition including the original 318 engine, automatic transmission, Burnished Red (CE7) paint, white vinyl top and white vinyl seats. The odometer has rolled over at least once. This is a non-smoker's car. I am selling this car for my dad who bought the car from the original owner when it was just a couple years old. I grew up with this car, but unfortunately we do not have the funds to restore it though I wish I could. We have to move on. At the moment I am using it as a daily driver, it runs fine after I warm it up and has never left me stranded. This is a solid running car that you can drive while you restore as far as I can tell. It still gets lots of attention. There is a small bit of rust in a few places which you can see in the pictures. None that I can see in the floorboards when I lift up the carpet. It feels solid and what rust is there seems superficial. On the rear passenger side there was a small dent that someone tried to fix for my dad. The interior is original. The seats are still comfortable, but they need to be reupholstered. Most things are there, but it all needs to be gone over. Check the pictures for interior details. Car has: - Original owner's manual - Yellowtop Optima battery (07/10) - Original Chrysler consumer information sheet - Original emergency start & seat belt infographics - Old Spare tire & jack - Original 4 support wire/hooks for the headliner - Front disc brakes Clean title. Pink in hand. Registered in California. Sold in as is condition. No refunds. I took over 240 pictures of the car you can see those pictures here. If there is any part of the car you would like to see more or better pictures of please let me know. The reserve is set for $6000.00 Do not bid on this auction unless you are serious about buying this car for that price. A deposit of $500.00 is due via PayPal within 24 hours of auction close. Full payment is due within 3 days after the auction closes. The vehicle will not be transferred or released until all funds have been received and verified. I accept cash in person. Message me before bidding if you have questions or want to work out another payment option. This car is also for sale locally. I reserve the right to end the auction early in the event that it sells locally before the auction ends. NOTE: I keep getting questions about the amount of rust on this car. There is some rust, but NOT as much as there appears to be. The paint color unfortunately matches the small rust spots too well. If you're curious about a specific spot I can tell you more.
