Vehicle Detail

I bought this 6.3 twenty years ago and it's not seen the light of day since; it's been in my garage. Here is my description of the vehicle, what I've done to it, how it runs, what has been restored beginning 5 years ago. INTERIOR: Entire interior was taken out, except the carpets and headliner. Brand new leather seats, perforated, cognac leather seats (front top and bottom, arm rests and both rear seats, top and back). Both bottom seat pads were installed new. The complete dash was removed and all the burell wood was professionally restored by Madera Concepts in California. All the wood on the doors has also been restored, except for the wood on the door panels. All the heater levers are brand new and work like they should: easy sliding. These heater levers are the old-style, heavy-duty, original, one-piece levers ...not like the flimsier two-part levers. Both heater valve seals were replaced, both inner and outer. There are NO cracks on the dash. The original radio is still there - and works! A non-smoker vehicle, no pet hair, no "mystery" smells, well put together. EXTERIOR: Painted in 2007 the original dark brown, and not seen the sun since. I replaced both front and rear window weather stripping and seals. All lights are working both in and out. Chrome is in excellent condition. UNDERCARRIAGE: The most important reason for why I originally bought this 6.3 still stands today: IT HAS NO RUST. No holes, no weather wear, no rust anywhere underneath. No rust at the spare tire wheel-well, or on the other side where the tools go. No "bondo" filing anywhere. If you have been looking for a rust free 6.3 - this is the one! FRONT SUSPENSION: Brand new front air bellows. I replaced both upper and lower king pins on both sides. Replaced the front rotors and rebuilt the front calipers. New brake hoses, new front Bilstein shocks, new brake pads. REAR SUSPENSION: Brand new rear air bellows. Replaced both rear rotors and rebuilt the rear calipers. New rear brake hoses and new brake pads. New Bilstein rear shocks. ALSO: I replaced both rear axle seals, inner and outer, on both sides and replaced the parking brake kits. AND: there are NO drops of differential oil! ENGINE: Radiator was re-cored. I have serviced the valves and the engine. When I adjusted the valves I checked the timing chain and the marks were perfect, right on spec. Rails in excellent condition. These are the solid metal rails - not like today's cheap plastic ones. I installed new valve cover gaskets. The engine starts right up and sounds fantastic. It has all the POWER of a 6.3 engine! TRANSMISSION: I removed the transmission about a year ago and repaired the torque converter seal leak. (If you know 6.3's you know what I am talking about.) There is a big O-ring seal on the converter (which by the way, you cannot buy from the dealer anymore). Also, I replaced both front pump seals. I serviced the transmission and reinstalled it. It shifts perfectly. MORE WORK: Fuel tank was removed and boiled out. Steering box was completely resealed. I have spent a lot of labor time on this 6.3. This is the last of the 108, 109 vehicles that I am selling. This 6.3 is the last one that I am putting together; I just don't have the time anymore. I'd rather be out fishing on my boat. PARTS FOR 6.3 (included!) I have about six to seven front fenders, all rust free. Also, compete rear and front bumpers, along with extra air valves. (One set is complete with the metal air-lines) I also have extra lights for the front and rear. SUSPENSION: Over the last five years the 6.3 has been sitting on one of my lifts. About 1 1/2 years about I started the 6.3 and the complete suspension stayed up for about 3 to 4 days. About an year ago it would go down over night. So, remember: I am sending extra valves in case you need them. All this work has been done on this 6.3 so that all you have to do is put gas in it and drive away. And even after all this work that I did I never even drove it on the freeway! AIR CONDITIONING: YES! It works, and it gets cold :) Please, if you have questions, ask me in advance and not near the end of the auction period. I have a moderate reserve. If you win it, I would like to receive a down-payment of $600. through PayPal, and the remaining balance via a cashiers check. I took close to 200 pictures, of which I will only post about 20. If there's something specific you'd like to see, please, make your requests early, and not nearing the end; I'll email you what I can. Good luck, and happy bidding!===== On May-21-11 at 15:43:35 PDT, seller added the following information: P.S. Attention! Attention!! Most Important!!! An ERROR in the 6.3's mileage! The correct mileage is: 64,097I'd typed my ad late last night - and was looking at a different car's mileage. Have double-checked everything; all is accurate and correct! Thank you.
