1996 Bentley Turbo R sedan ...beautiful condition, all original, and a well maintained motor car! Purchased and maintained by a well known West coast lawyer, this was a commute car between San Fransisco and his other office. All highway miles to 90k. The condition was preserved as it had a underground garage at home and office. A thick file of original paperwork comes with the car before it was shipped East for my use. He had the "D" service dealt with then, which is everything possible!! (Really!) When I talked to the dealer, his only quote was "anything possible it required was done to it". This was his one car, and it was kept accordingly. When it arrived in Charleston, it basically kept the same lifestyle. Conditioned carriage house, not driven in the summer, and used for my commutes to Atlanta and North Carolina for my design business. Almost never a passenger, and only a few ever made the back seat. The leather is crisp and soft.....the drivers seat has never been dyed or had any work on the surface. The back seat, doors, trim, wood, etc are as new condition...Really! The color is a custom order "Ming" blue, of the Chinese colour. The interior is dark tan with Ming blue piping, tan carpets. Blue lambswool overlays in the rear of the Rolls Royce style with full overlay vs mats. The wood is really approaching concours with no flaws other than the usual pings on the drivers door cap railing. Seats, headliner, carpets and paint all speak for themselves. Its most recent service was dealt with by my great friends at Bentley High Point. Mel Robinson is the best with their service department, and has handled my cars there personally since I was 18. He knows that they are to be kept "correct" for all reasons. That service dealt with full "B" service and required items he felt was needed. It also has a fresh set of Z rates correct weight and tread tires. 500 miles on this new set. The heat/ac system had a glitch in the computer on the dash which I understand that can be an issue. For adjustment of ac/heat floor to facia. This was corrected for $1500. So all systems are go. Personally, I would enjoy this going to a member of the RROC/Bentley club as it is so correct and not trashed about. No real excuses motorcar with a condition that is paramount to so many that are sun baked, worn hard and sold. This is loved, cared for and maintained. Ideal for a 200k ++ car as Woody Richie of Bentley Tampa tells me of this series. (his has 200k on it). Flaws: one tiny blister on the passenger's door.....and a small section of paint came off the bumper for some reason while being detailed. Would rather sell as is vs having this done here. Otherwise...........no excuses Also, after another interested buyer requested a full three page review of every switch and functional part, the end result was $550 in ball joints has been dealt with. Everything works except for the passenger seat button which needs contact cleaning from a cup of coffee spilling! Thats it.........everything else in order. Its a very lovely motorcar.............with a fresh mechanical review that is very positive. So kindly review and let me know of any questions you may have NOTE: A PROSPECTIVE BUYER PAID FOR A 3 PAGE REPORT OF SERIOUS DETAIL FROM THE LOCAL BENTLEY BRITISH SERVICE DEPOT. IT REQUIRED .........AND REQUIRED ONLY.......A SET OF BALL JOINTS, AND SEASONAL LUBE, ETC. THAT COST WAS $550. So all known matters have checked out, especially the ice cold ac (that works on the levels as it should). The local service agent will speak in detail with interested buyers, only please. Cheers
