1982 Mercedes-Benz 240D with 190K Actual miles. This Mercedes runs and drives very well. The 2.4 liter Diesel engine starts up perfectly and idles smoothly. The transmission shifts well especially after the car is warmed up. I just drove it an enjoyable 30 miles on I-95 doing 70mph. The brake pedal is a little stiff at first as well and then softens up after being warmed up. It probably needs a new master cylinder and/or brake booster. The odometer/speedometer works well and the A/C blows ice cold. The paint and body are in nice condition showing minimal surface rust. The Light Ivory paint has a nice shine.There are four brand new Good Year tires all around. The interior looks nice but the previous owner glued seat pads to the front seats so I put new seat covers on them. The rear seat, carpets, door panels, dash and headliner all look very nice. There is a new Kenwood CD player installed as well. With a little TLC this will make someone a very nice driver for many years and miles to come.
