Porsche 986 Boxster- Matte Black Track Rat! I bought this car a few months back with intention of giving it a massive diet and converting it into a track only super light weight go-cart. The car handled so well with the creature comforts still in it, that I never stripped it. It has not even seen it's first track day yet and I have purchased another boxster with a 911 engine shoehorned into it. This little car is a BLAST to drive and handles amazingly well, but she has to go. The boxster is painted matte black with a light texture. It has a rebuilt FL title right now, and I have the paperwork from the old owner to register it if the next owner decides to run it on the street. The paint looks great in a quirky unique kinda way, but by no stretch of the imagination is this car a garage queen. You cannot fill the gas tank without compliments / questions from onlookers. Kids point at it on the streets, parents stare in total bewilderment. The engine was replaced recently by the previous owner due to IMS failure. With the engine upgrade, he said he also replaced the clutch and did the IMS upgrade. So the drivetrain is much fresher than the 90k miles or so on the odometer. The rear tires are brand new, the fronts have some life left. Convertible top works by hand only, needs a new cable (~$40.00). I was going to take the whole assembly out so I didn't give it any attention and it is really easy to do by hand anyway. The car runs like a bat and is reliable as can be. No issues to speak of at all- old owner said the AOS needs to be replaced, and that it created a vaccuum in the oil system and caused a crush on the filler line. Before I spent the 80 dollars on the sensor, I had a local shop check it out and they said it was fine. Shipping to anywhere in the country should be about 700 dollars and I can meet up with your driver as needed. OR you can fly in and drive her back home! That's the boxster story! I invite and encourage test drives. I need it gone and need the space. Moving at the end of may, so it HAS to be gone by then therefore I priced it cheaper than any complete boxsters on ebay and it's a NO RESERVE AUCTION Dont miss this great opportunity to pick up an amazingly fun car for the price of a used honda. EDIT: I keep getting questions about whether or not it can be driven on the street. This car is 100% street legal and missing no street gear at all. There is absolutely no reason it cannot be street driven. You just need to register it
