This car was bought 12 years ago and has been stored inside and rarely driven so now it is time to sell as our indoor storage is being lost. We bought this car exactly how you see it now with the red paint, black interior and some kind of black textured paint in the bed. The paint has a few flaws but they have always been there and it does not seem to be getting worse. Interior, seats, door panels, dash and headliner are all original and in great condition. The 396 runs strong with a 4 bbl Holley and has headers and dual exhaust. Alot of options on this El Camino are the same as what would have come with the SS packages offered on the Chevelles, although no Super Sport El Caminos were made this year, the original owner must have wanted an SS and special ordered it this way. It has a 12 bolt posi, hood louvers, power steering, power brakes, bucket seats, center console and air conditioning and its a big block 396. The inside of the bed is not beat up or rusty and underneath, the sheetmetal is very clean and original. The wheels are Crager SS and are OK but not perfect. This car is a good original driver as is with a clean original interior and probably a 15 year old paint job. All original dash gauges work great and the transmission is the only upgrade done having been changed from a powerglide to a 400 automatic. The buyer will be responsible for pickup and / or shipping this vehicle after winning bid.
