1978 Cadillac Sedan Deville Excellent garage kept condition. Previous owners retired and did not need this vehicle any longer. I have replaced the front and rear brakes, Idler arm, center link and a tie rod end. Just aligned & new tires. This car has NO RUST WHATSOEVER!!!! It is a solid and very clean old Cadi. I replaced the headliner last year. The A/C system has been converted to R134a. I replaced the factory radio with Pioneer Super Tuner cassette player and I also have the original factory 8-track player that will be included if you want it. The original radio could not hold stations but the tape player worked well. Car had recent complete tune up with cap, rotor and wires. I also rebuilt the carb. New valve cover gaskets too. This car is ready to drive as a daily driver or show. Now for the bad stuff: Drivers door armrest has a small tear. It is repairable. The tear is no bigger than a nickel. Trans fluid is brown but it shifts great. As we all know, when the fluid is that bad, do not change it. It is the original transmission with 95k miles. The car has had body repair over the years but in my opinion, nothing major. The passenger front door is a very slight shade lighter that you will notice when the sun hits it at a certain angle. All the chrome looks like new, no rust or pitting. It needs rear body fillers around the tail lights. They are available for about $300. aftermarket. If you replace them the car would look almost 100%. Right now they are faded and cracked but not destroyed. There is a small crack by the drivers speaker grill on the dash, maybe about and inch long. This crack just recently appeared over the winter in my garage. It is repairable. I will send you pics on request. The clock does not work and it's loose in the dash. The Pioneer radio has a digital clock that works fine. There are scratches on both fenders that I touched up and they do stand out. Silver is not an easy color to match. Looks like someone leaned over both fenders to work on the engine, did not use a fender cover and had a big belt buckle. I will send close up's of the fenders upon request. Honestly, it really doesn't look that bad considering the age of the car. Everyone compliments me on the vehicle at the cruise nights on how clean it is. This car is a true survivor. I recently drove this car from my Chicago suburbs home to the Jefferson, Wisconsin car show/swapmeet. The trip is about 80 miles each way and it ran great. Bottom line, don't waste my time. Show respect and let me sell my car the right way to a legitimate buyer. This is a really nice car in great shape that needs a new home.
