Vehicle Detail

1996 Pontiac Grand Prix GT w/ rare LQ1 ok everyone, this time lets try this a bit different send me your best offer 1st listed with a reserve $1250 and max bid was $560 2nd time reserve was $850 and max bid was $419 I know asking for my $1250 is a long shot, but its worth more the the $419... Calling all GM collectors Here is your chance to own a super rare Pontiac, I say rare cause in 1996 there were only 28,221 4-door Grand Prix's made (last year of this body and the lowest made from 89-96), only 179 of those where GT's with the LQ1 3.4L DOHC motor out of that only 70 came to Canada and only 20 had HUD ...how many are left on the road... it’s rare... We are the third owners, it was first sold out of a Calgary AB dealer – then spent most of its life on the western canada coast of Victoria BC and then ended up back in Calgary where we found it 3 years ago. It’s very clean inside and out (the crapy iphone photos don't show it well) and is NOT a rust bucket, I only know of a small patch under the driver’s side ground effect (which is common in all GM cars with body cladding) and if I didn't tell you about this I bet you couldn't find it just looking at the car. The car is no where near "mint" but does look very nice for its age and milage, 226266 km / 140595 miles. Before me it looks like some one tried patching up rock chips and didn't do so well, also the hood has a couple of small dents in it looks like someone droped something on it at one time, over all a new paint job won't hurt. The Grand Prix GT was the 4 door version of the loved GTP RPO – B4Q GT package featured LQ1 DOHC 3.4L (96 was the only year to have 215hp, 91-93 had 200 and 94-95 had 210) BA5 GTP functional hood louvers NV7 variable-effort power steering NW0 5-blade aluminum wheels In addition to the GT Package it also included other rare options US7 power antenna (broken and replaced with a standard one, have the broken one) UV6 HUD heads up display U40 trip computer AU0 keyless entry DC4 visor vanity mirrors UP3 cd player with 7-band eq UQ3 8 speaker sound system with factory amp (I’ve been asked what subs those are...) 12C Custom Trim Package (these are the nice seats found in the GTP) CF5 power glass sun roof (does not leak) It also has a Python 872 2-Way Security System / Remote Start System Now to the BAD part – the car is currently not driveable, but it’s not as bad as you think – the only thing wrong is the hi-side power steering line is leaking really badly, if its topped off full you will be able to drive it across the city. So it will have to be trailered to its new home, had plans to fix/restore this over this past winter but have too much on the go. If you know anything about the LQ1 motor, these are very common for leaking oil from the oil pump – this is a costly fix which we just done last year – at the same time all intake manifold gaskets and sparkplugs where changed. Also the timing belt is in great shape and I don't see you needing to deal with that for a long time. I'm new to selling a car via ebay, I'm willing to work with the buyer to make this easy, but its up to the buyer to figure out the shipping/pickup. I'm requesting a $100 depost via Paypal, 48h after the auction - the rest must be paied before it leaves for shipping. HUD and trip computer Sunroof Same nicer seats you would find in a GTP HUD and trip computer Video of it running with the timing cover removed
