1978 MG Midget-MK4 The car you a looking at biding on, is in great shape. I purchased this car in 2003 and have put 10k miles of fun on it. The car was purchased new in Florida and after one year there, it made its way to Des Moines, Iowa. The mileage is said to be correct and I have copies of all the previous titles. The car had been stored a few years in the 90’s and was found by the previous owner. Look at the photos for details. I have tried to show any defects in exterior paint and interior. This little midget has seen some good care over the years because it is an original. The sticker on the window shows car was “Protected with Polycoat”. The pin striping was done at the dealer in Florida and there is a company stick on door jam. Please ask questions. This will make someone a great car to drive as is or a good solid one to restore to show room quality. Original Paint, Original Top, Original Interior Paint Color = Tahiti Blue Top & Tonneau Cover & Dash = Black Interior = Beige Leather / Chestnut Carpet The dash is in great shape, all gauges work, motor runs great, tires have lots of tread, all lights work. The engine number = FP53436UE I do not know if the heater works, the blower works,but I have never swicthed the heat valve on.The motor has always had an oil leak. The mechanic at "British Motors" said it would not be Britsh if it didn't leak some where. He said to just drive and enjoy it. The previous owner had also mentioned this leak. The exhuast is not original it has a header-manifold and monza 4 tip mufler purchased from Victoria British to fit this model.
