Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 YOU ARE VIEWING A VERY ORIGINAL 1956 FORD FAIRLANE VICTORIA 2-DR HARDTOP. THE CAR HAS A LIFELONG HISTORY AS FOLLOWS: VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IN ITS EARLY YEARS BY A WIDOW LIVING IN HEMET CALIFORNIA, A SMALL DESERT COMMUNITY, LOCATED IN SOUTHERN RIVERSIDE COUNTY CA. IN 1980 THE CAR WAS SOLD TO A CAREER NAVY MAN WHO DROVE IT TO HIS HOME TOWN OF ENID OK. ( DRY AREA). SHORTLY AFTER ARRIVING, THE CAR WAS PARKED IN A GARAGE AND THE DOOR NAILED SHUT, (HIS WORDS), BEFORE BEING REDEPLOYED. FAST FORWARD TO 2005, WHEN AFTER RETIREMENT AND RETURNING HOME, THE VICTORIA WAS REMOVED FROM STORAGE AND MECHANICALLY BROUGHT UP TO A ROAD WORTHY CONDITION. IT WAS THEN WELL MAINTAINED AND DRIVEN SPARINGLY UNTIL MY TIME OF PURCHASE. ORIGINAL AND SURVIVOR ARE, IN MY OPINION, THE TWO MOST OVER USED WORDS IN THE COLLECTOR CAR WORLD TODAY. NOT IN THIS CASE HOWEVER, AS THIS FORD STILL RETAINS IT’S FACTORY ORIGINAL PAINT, COMPLETE INTERIOR, CARPETING, HEADLIGHT BEAMS, GLASS, ETC. ACTUAL MILEAGE IS 77K AND IS SUPPORTED BY SERVICE NOTATIONS THROUGHOUT THE YEARS. THE CAR STARTS, RUNS, AND DRIVES JUST AS A 1956 FORD SHOULD. TIRES ARE NEW CORRECT GOODYEAR SUPER-CUSHION WHITEWALLS, EXHAUST IS CORRECTLY ROUTED THRU THE BUMPER, AND EVERYTHING IS IN WORKING CONDITION, INCLUDING ALL LIGHTS, INSTRUMENTS, AND RADIO, (PLAYS WELL). INTERIOR: OTHER THAN SOME MILD AGING IN THE DRIVER SEATING AREA,THE INSIDE OF THE CAR LOOKS LIKE 1956. COLOR IS STILL BRIGHT WITH LITTLE FADING, WEAR IS MINIMAL, AND DASH AREA IS BEAUTIFUL. BODY: 100% ORIGINAL FACTORY SHEET METAL INTACT, NO COLLISION REPAIR OR RUST ISSUES. SOME MINOR DINGS, CHIPS, AND SCRATCHES BUT STILL VERY NICE AND ACCEPTABLE FOR A SURVIVOR VEHICLE. THE FACTORY ORIGINAL FIESTA RED/ COLONIAL WHITE PAINT STILL HAS GOOD GLOSS AND COLOR WITHOUT ANY NOTICEABLE THIN AREAS. BRIGHT WORK: ALL ORIGINAL, GOOD TO EXCELLENT THROUGHOUT. . FOOTNOTE: I don't mean to be brash about selling a car, but this car is not an example that you will come across very often. I know what I have searched out and found over the years. I like un-restored cars....with original factory paint. While I appreciate nicely restored cars, I do not own restored vehicles, you can get one of those anywhere. Some of the so-called best restored cars have been hit, incorrectly assembled, etc; not for me. Too many issues...the body being hit, rust, major components being lifted from another car, reproduction parts, and poor workmanship being some of the important ones. It is worth searching and finding the GOOD original UN-RESTORED cars.....and if it costs more money once you have found what you are looking for...and it should...it's worth every penny....at least to me. Nothing better than to look at that car in your garage knowing it is one the factory built and not one built by a local shop doing their best imitation of the original. Nobody does it like the factory, and that is truly reflected in today’s classic car prices and desirability index. But then if you are seriously interested in this car, you already know this. Serious bidders/buyers only; if you have less than 5 feedbacks with any non-paying violations...please move on. THANKS!
