Here for sale is a 1963 Thunderbird convertible with a powerful V-8 390ci 4 barrel carb. Body has just over 62,000 miles on it however this owner went an extra step and had the motor completely rebuilt from the bottom up and the motor now has just over 400 miles on it. I have pictures to show how it is stored (in a heated garage at 65 degrees all winter long covered) an the owner starts all his toys every 2 weeks during the winter and in the summer toys go for a 5 mile ride each month. I am representing this car for the owner, he is selling this due to wife insists he has to many toys and he has to get rid of 1 of them and this is what he desided on. Owner has owned this car since 1981 and only body work he did was to replace the pass rear complete quarter. minor rust and dent in it but he had a brand new 1 upstairs above his garage. If you look at the pics I took on that side you will see he didn't quite mold it into the lower cowl like he should have.(only spot on whole car no other place had even a small amount of rust. All lower door panels are solid all electric win.,locks& steering work great. I drove the car today and it was really a nice ride and great day for it. I haven't driven a car with drum breaks for way to many years, however they work and he said they are only 4 years old I wasn't use to them and just felt I should mention they didn't work as good as my ABS on my Lexus but they did work and stopped the car. I also took pics of the car in the garage and after we pulled it out(no oil spots anywhere) no smoke except a very small amount until it warmed up and car started up right away. This is a beauty and would be a great addition to anyones garage to bragg about. I took a total of 78 pictures of the car and underneat of the car and even that was very clean. Car was rustproofed right after the restoration was completed. Electric top works flawlessly and does have to cover boot (metal) to cover over space when truck goes down (please view conv. top pictures on the link for a few minor flaws). I have included pictures of the Conv top to show you the only flaws it has and the owner patched it up 6 yrs ago and there are no leaks. This car is fully optioned with heater, power steering, power brakes, power window and power convertible top, correct and original 390 cu in V-8 powered, Cruise-O-Matic Transmission, this T-Bird has the sliding steering wheel to make an easy exit or entering of the driver. All Electriconics work great! On May-07-11 at 13:44:50 PDT, seller added the following information: I seem to be getting a lot of questions about the conv. tops condition. This top shows repaired in the pictures, however if this car sells for more than $15,500 I will purchase a new top and (White or Black top buyers choice) from a person that sells new parts for Thunderbirds Only and this top will not draw points against this car if you are planning to put it in show quality condition. I will have to buy it and have it shipped to my home then I know 2 different total restoration shops within 20 miles from here that will install it for me.
