1964 Cadillac Convertible Deville. Original Condition with 73000 original Miles per the original owners family. I bought the car 6 months ago and it had been sitting in garage since 1991. They painted ,Redid Top and Seats and lots of mechanical work in 1989 drove it for 3 years and than parked it. Car is an original Calif Car with no sign of rust nor any major accidents.It is currently registered in Calif in my name with Black and Yellow plates.It was in untouched condition when I had it pulled from the garage. It had flat tires,Brakes not working, Fuel system old and Gunked up. But overall it was a nice original example of a Calif Rust Free Convertible. I bought with high hopes to restore back to its original beauty. But you know how that goes I am just a poor painter from Pomona and really do not have the money to spend on car that it deserves. It also needs a garage. It was garage parked its whole life until I got it 6 months ago. I feel guilty for not giving it a better home. I am offering on EBay for a fraction of the price of a restored car. One sold on EBay 1 month ago in Beverly Hills for 35000 so they still are holding there classic car value. When I got car I had towing company pull it from garage and deliver it to me sight unseen. It showed up with a dent in the passenger door and a dent in trunk lid that were obviously new. I fought it and lost the battle because I had no proof that it wasnt that way. So I had a body shop friend of mine pull dents and primer , repairs are 95% and will require finishing before paint. I put all New Tires on car with all new hydraulics the Brakes work Real Good Now. I had fuel tank cleaned and coated with all new fuel lines, Fuel Pump, Filters and Carb cleaned. Changed Oil and Coolant and some Vacuum hoses. Lubed Cylinders with oil and replaced Plugs,Points,condensor. Fired her up and she was in great running shape. Also we did a compression check and it was even all the way around at 160 or so. I cleaned and detailed engine also. Than I cleaned up all car and cleaned chrome and interior. I had carpet replaced along with a new Top. I have been driving it around for the past 3 months and she runs and drives real well. If you just wanted a nice daily driver you could just paint it use it as is. Or you could go all out a restore her back to her glory. This car is mostly original even has 4 original T3 headlights in good working condition ( The Good) Calif rust free car that has not been molested. Chrome is Bright and Shiny and I believe it to be original and probably does not need to be redone for a fine restoration. Stainless is in Nice Shape.Solid Car with most all electrical,Lights Windows Etc working as they should except what is noted below. Nice Daily Driver as is Solid and Tight with no serious defects. I have driven it about 500 - 1000 miles with no issues. (The Bad) Windshield Wipers get stuck on sometimes switch needs to be cleaned or replaced also passenger side is scratched a bit may polish out though, Air Conditioning Heating system although COMPLETE and was working in 1991 has since lost its freon and I unhooked compressor so it wouldnt get damaged. So at the least it will need freon but I have not had it checked at all. The convertible top is slow and will need some hydraulic fluid I could not figure out how to install fluid and I didnt have a manual. It goes down No Problems but it is slow going up without helping it. It is working though. Fuel Gauge was working before I cleaned fuel system the sending unit I believe may need replacement or maybe just the wire is off I havent had time to check. Glove Box lock not working and rear trunk chrome V is bent Also Interior floor lights are not working they were working with passenger door for awhile but now they are not maybe just need cleaning on contacts. I believe I have listed all issues that I am aware of and all other options,windows,radio,trunk lock,power locks, ALL other Lights etc are in working order with no issues. So here we are it is a Nice original car that needs someone to Love It and get it back to where it needs to be. Please ask alot of questions and request pictures if needed. I have been driving car for 3 months or better with no issues. The bearing is leaking and making some noise on waterpump when you run car it doesnt seem to be leaking when stopped. Regardless it needs a water pump. I just called my 2 local autoparts stores and neither have it and need to order it. Part takes 5-6 days to get from east coast. I was going to repair but instead I will take 250.00$ Off of the high bidders price of car. You can order pump on EBay for 89.99. also. Hope that is sufficient. If you are planning on driving car home a long ways than I suppose I will need to order pump and repair car. Either way I am willing to work with buyer on that. The power antenna is up and isnt working. Radio works. It has a small exhaust leak where the head pipe meets the manifold I havent tried to tighten so may be loose. It quiets down when car warms up.Also car runs and drives good but may need some Carb/Tune Up tweeking to make it just right.Valve cover gasket will need to be replaced it is the only oil leak on car and it is just a small leak but it does have a little leak nothing major. Rubber on car is in decent shape for age but some of it is worn and may want to replace when painting car. This car is a very nice original car but it is also almost 50 years old so you could pick it apart all day or you could just admire its beauty.
