Vehicle Detail
1981 VW Rabbit Pickup 1.6 liter diesel. Gets 38+MPG. 5 Speed. More Details Coming Soon. --Add To watch list : ) --On Apr-30-11 at 12:18:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Details- This little truck does run and drive good and is a 5 speed diesel with MPG savings, i will try to get a video up of start up and driving. Let me clear something up first ...Truck is salvaged title, it looks due to front fender damage that BARELY bent the bumper front of the unibody, it was an extensive search just to find that bend! Truck Drives Straight! Miles are original miles. Only thing Id suggest to make it easier to drive is getting a new shifter bushing. Sometimes i have to fiddles with it to get in gear. Its a common thing with these trucks. The radiator fan always stays on, im not sure whats up with that, but it definately never heats up even through the hills. I had a quad in the back one day : ( the quads bumper broke the driver side rear window panel, so i cut plexiglass to size and siliconed it in. the glowplug relay died one day and decided it didnt want to work anymore, for now i have wired a LED switch to the glowplugs, but i have a HELLA key style switch that goes with the truck for the glowplugs that i never got around to installing. Just roll the window down and you got A/C ! I used this as a daily driver for a few months, then decided to project it. Idea was to due the body work thats done on it, drop it some, freshen up the interior, and throw some rims on it. First off that black strip that goes through the mid of the truck is now gone. Second i bondo customized the front where the blinkers use to be and added the front bumper with blinkers and the grill with the circular headlights. After a bunch of sanding shaping and 11 quarts of dupli-color paint later this is what came of the truck. By no means was this a professional job, it was my first time of reading 'how to' and trying my hand at it. Even at the fact of not being done professionally, people now say what kind of truck is that? with a curiosity! Where i USE to get a, what kind of truck is that? with a, ewwww! So that means a difference to me. I have too many vehicles and no money to continue with this truck or even keep my other truck a 2002 silverado duramax allison thats also for sale... stupid economy. Pretty much everything else about the truck, take a look at the pictures when i get them up, or throw a message my way. On Apr-30-11 at 17:38:06 PDT, seller added the following information:
