Vehicle Detail
1968 Chevy Impala convertable, 327 automatic, Keystone wheels. Runs and drives, but not quite ready for the hwy, I just pulled it out of storage today, washed it and drove it around the block for pictures. Motor runs very good, trans shifts smooth and firm, brakes stop you, but feel like it's just the front working. New conv. top, and boot, carpet, seat upholstry and door upholstry, along with new paint, wheel arch moldings, sill plates, etc about a year ago, today was the first time the top and boot have seen the sunlight, they are not even "broken in" yet, a few small wrinkles to be worked out once the sunlight bakes it for a while. Int. is good, alot of it was dyed/painted I think, new seat upholstry/armrests/sill plates and carpet, the rest is original. Good glass all around. New top has the glass rear window, and is power, but not hooked up , motor and cyls work, just not bolted to the lift arms,(2 mins to bolt them together) need the wiring run yet. It does need a some of that little tinkering issues worked out, I just do not have the room and time to keep messing with it. Paint is very smooth and glossy, not perfect, but looks like it unless you pick apart every square inch. No rust, new quarter panels were installed. Under the hood is very clean, inner fenders look new, some chrome and simple paint make the eng. really stand out. This is not a show car, but built to be a parade car/weekend cruiser. Underside is in good condition, frame and floorboards solid, trunk floor good, no rust problems there. Lights and signals all seem to work fine. Does need a few pieces of weatherstrip replaced here or there, some fasteners, but mostly just plain tinkering, like I mentioned it runs/drives/stops, but nothing I would jump in and drive any distance right now, should at least be gone over, I haven't even changed the oil! I do have some extra misc. parts that came with when I bought it, stock wheel and hubcaps, some extra chrome moldings, and a few misc fasteners. It's all there, just need everything buttoned up and gone over. Clear title---All the hard work is done, give it the finishing touches to make it perfect, or enjoy it the way it is...really turns heads just the way it sits, super sharp car----Take a look, ask me any questions, Thanks
