Lots more pictures here: http://www.eccie.com/geme4.html This is a 2007 GEM e4. GEM stands for Global Electric Motorcars which was part of the Daimler Chrysler Company. This vehicle is fully electric and can be plugged into any 110-volt A/C, 15 amp breaker outlet. It is driven by a 72 volt Shunt GE motor, front wheel drive direct-coupled with a Dana Spicer Differential. This GEM e4 comes standard with: four wheel hydraulic brakes, anchored 3-point seat belts, full exterior lighting, windshield wiper, parking brake, rack & pinion steering, rear and side reflectors, lower safety handles, proprietary 72 volt integrated on-board charger, contoured seating with integrated headrest, 72 volt low maintenance battery system, washable interior, switchable dual acceleration modes, horn, automotive type suspension, rear-view & driver side mirrors, and LCD display. Optional equipment includes: accessory outlet, scuff guards, grab handle package, HEATER/DEFOGGER, dome light, hazard lights, maintenance-free gel batteries, HARD DOORS, door trim, trunk back, and front license plate bracket. The original selling price new was $14,999. It currently has ONLY 650 MILES I have added the Ride4Fun ( http://www.ride-4-fun.com/ ) 14" tire/wheel pak (which is installed) and Ride4Fun 7.5 HP motor (costed over $2k). With this setup, this car easily does 35MPH. I've had it as high as around 40MPH downhill.
