1966 Triumph Trophy

Up for bid is a very nice 650cc 1966 Triumph TR6 Trophy Motorcycle. I have owned this motorcycle since 1979 and to my knowledge there was one former owner who rode this bike. The following work had been performed after I took possession, 30 years ago. Disassembled bike completely, repainted frame and body parts, honed cylinders and replaced rings, ground valves and seats, new fuel cocks, rebuilt carburator, new wheel bearings, new drive chain, new speedometer cable, mufflers, and I'm sure there were more miscellaneous items replaced that I can't think of. I have only driven this bike 1,000-1,500 miles after the rebuild. It starts very easily, idles well, runs smoothly and strong. It is a tight motor and sounds very crisp. All the electrics work fine and it is not a leaker. I added an oil pressure guage between the speedometer and tachometer and it holds 60 psi oil pressure. We put a new seat on it a few years back which is still like new and we just put in a new battery. Overall it is a good-sounding, head-turning, reliable and fun piece of history. I will have to say though that the sun, age, and gasoline have taken it's toll on the 31 year old lacquer showing some yellowing and checking as seen in the photos.
