1982 VW Rabbit diesel 4 door Hatchback (Worker not a Looker) In last 10,000 miles has had the following done to it. All 4 New struts and coil springs Timing belt Master cylinder Brake lines Brakes (pads, rotors, drums, calipers, rear wheel cylinders) Amsoil bi-pass filtration system 15” 7 star Sport Edition rims with Yokohomo 195/60/15 tires New half shafts New clutch (Heavy Duty) Light weight flywheel All new seals in transmission Amsoil transmission fluid Amsoil premium 3000 heavy-duty diesel oil (with bi-ass filtration system and oil can get 8000 miles on oil change) Just changed engine filter, bi-pass filter and oil 2k miles ago. New glow plugs New block heater Shift linkage-bushing kit New re-done upholstery on seats and head liner (prior to purchase by previous owner) New rear hatch seal New grill (no emblem) New headlight bezels New headlights Custom made deer guard bumper comes with car and if you don’t like it original will also come with it. No modification was done to car. Factory this was a 4 speed converted to 5 speed. A/C has been removed along with the power steering. Is a very good running vehicle, very reliable. Gets 50 mpg depending on driving habits. The car doesn’t need anything except the heater blower motor just went out. I have done just about everything needed to make this a reliable work vehicle. I have lots of Amsoil supplies if wanted at time of purchase along with a collection of parts I have accumulated. You can go through them and buy what you want. On Apr-27-11 at 18:45:49 PDT, seller added the following information: Today was told this is a Black Tie Edition that was only offered at the end of the 1982 year to promote sales. A VW expert emailed me and told me this car meets the critiria for the Black Tie Edition. I am not an expert nor do I know what it even means, also do not know if it is for sure this said item, for anyone that does know he said it would be worth more money. No gaurantees this is correct just thought I would say something about what this person said.
