Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1995 Jeep Wrangler with 126k total miles and less than 2k miles on a new Japser rebuilt 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engine. It has a 5 speed manual transmission that shifts smoothly and the clutch is in good condition. This Jeep is all stock except for a 2" shackle lift and oversize 31 inch tires on Crager wheels. Everything works on this Jeep. It lived it's life in the city and has never been driven off-road hard. It has a new 4WD actuator and transfer case vacuum switch and the 4WD works perfectly. It has a new wiper motor and wiper blades, new AM/FM CD stereo with an auxiliary input for an IPod. The stereo is a 4 channel high output unit and ready for a set of rear speakers if you chose to add them to the two existing ones in the front. The soft top is in good shape. It's a blast in the summer with the top down. It has a trailer hitch installed and I'll throw in the new drawbar and ball. I put the drawbar on it to tow my log splitter on my property but never used it. It also has a bicycle carrier that mounts on the rear spare tire that is included in the sale. The body and frame are solid including the floor boards. The only rust on this Jeep is on the top of the front fenders by the fender flares as seen in the pictures. There is a small dent in the hood on the driver's side that can only bee seen if the light is right. I tried to capture it in the photos. It's very minor. The Goodyear Wrangler tires have 80% tread left and are in excellent shape. The 2" shackle lift provides plenty of clearance for these oversize tires. I've used this Jeep as an around the neighborhood vehicle for the almost 2 years I've owned it. In that time I've put less that 1000 miles on it. My friend that I bought it from put less than 1000 miles on it from the time he put the new engine in it until the time he sold it to me. He spent $3000 on the new Jasper engine and between the two of us we've put less than 2k miles on it. The motor purrs like a kitten and is not even broken in good yet. The picture of the gauges was taken with the motor idling and you can see the oil pressure is at 60 PSI. I just did the first oil and filter change on this new engine a few days ago. The only thing I would do to this Jeep mechanically is to check the brakes. They work good, but I've never pulled the wheels and checked the pads. The front brakes pulse a little after it's been setting a while, but then smooth out after you drive it a bit. I don't think the rotors need turned. I believe it's just surface rust on the rotors from sitting. I am selling this Jeep due to a back condition. My back doesn't allow me to enjoy the characteristic rugged ride of a Jeep on the rough country roads around here. I've tried to represent this vehicle as thoroughly and accurately as possible with the description and pictures. If you have any questions I'll be glad to answer them. I'll also be glad to take additional photographs and add them if there is something you want to see that I didn't include. This vehicle is selling as-is with no warranty expressed or implied. You are free to inspect and test drive this vehicle in advance of bidding. This Jeep is selling NO RESERVE with a starting bid equal to the cost of the new engine alone. Do not bid unless you plan to buy it. A non-refundable deposit of $500 dollars is due within 48 hours of the end of the auction via PayPal. The balance is due within 14 days in cash or a certified check. The vehicle will not be released to the buyer until all funds have cleared. This Jeep will make someone a great toy or could be used as a daily driver. It's in excellent mechanical condition. Bid with confidence.
