I WILL DELIVER THIS CADILLAC, UP TO 75 MILES FOR FREE. 1976 Cadillac Coupe Deville with 500cubic inch engine. This is the last year of the very long body style And the last year of the 500 engine It is carbureted I had my eye on this Caddy for a few years. when it was finally available to me, it needed some work. The previous owner received this car from a family member. He used it as a daily driver for approximately 45k miles/4years I was told that it was stored for 10years before he received it from his aunt. -New Starter - 2 brand new Aurora (Hankook) tires (white wall) LESS THAN 500 MILES - new front brakes and calipers and hoses (1k miles) - new metal brake line to rear brakes-cleaned and adjusted rear brakes - 4 new Monroe sensatrac shocks (the good ones) (1k miles) -Coolant Flush -A Portion of Auto transmission fluid exchanged (5qts) (see picture of fluid. bright red) there are no rips in the seats (some wear in the dye) The carpet is nice and the dashboard is great Original floormats Working trunk releaseWorking Cruise Controlair conditioning not working (worked recently)8TRACK radio works, but only plays 2 of 4 sidesradio antenna jack needs to be fixed (where it plugs into the radio) Nice weatherstripping for its age. I sprayed it with silicone twice Power windows and doorlocks working The flagstaffs on the fenders (lights, signals, hi-beam indicators) are working Just passed emissions but needs exhaust. multiple leaks make it sound muscle-y. not very loud I'm certainly not saying this car is tip-top, But you can get in this car and start driving. I do! However, I would suggest a tune up and new vacuum lines. There is typical rust by the rear quarter windows and bottom edges of the body. The frame is in great shape and body mounts are ok. The pictures show the right front wheel cover and adjacent body molding installed. The wheel weights prohibit the wheel cover from being very secure. the tire needs to be repositioned and rebalanced.also notice the bottom stainless steel molding being held in place with an 8Track tape case and pine cone.I remove that molding and wheel cover before driving. Both are an easy fix for the new owner.I have treated the hood with Por15 (the best rust preventative ever) and is now primer grey. I would keep treating the rust and coating in primer. However, I have decided to sell this car, due to other investments -and other car projects. I have this caddy running safely. I take it from west jersey to staten island. A nice ride! Mileage will accumulate by auction's end. I'm expecting the mileage to stay under 102,000 by then. I would like to clarify that the power antenna functions. The problem with the radio antenna is at the jack that plugs into the back of the radio. This jack can be fixed by accessing it through the ashtray. The radio does not have to be removed, to fix the antenna jack. easy fix. the rear defogger works great!
