Vehicle Detail
Here Is my 1961 chevy apache. It's a fleetside and its got the long box. We've had this truck as the shop truck for a while (local repair shop) and have used it as our daily driver, pickups, drop off's and part runs and such. We have maintained this truck as you would your vehicle that you need to be reliable( up to date on the safty stuff like ball joints and bearings and tires and such), and have kept it in a amazing state of repair. The truck is set up as such, 71 olds (GM) 350 rocket small block (v8), custom tilt steering colum added, aftermarket power steering added, hydrolic disk brake kit added, along with a brake booster and dual chamber master cylinder added for real stopping power. Summet high torque starter motor, TH400 Turbo transmission, Holley 4 barrel carburator (double pumper style, with electric choke), Hooker exhaust headers, Engine has compitition cams and edleman intake manifold, Accel electronic ignition, All this goodness is put to the pavement with a Mopar (dodge) 3.21 positraction rear end. With all that going on under the hood we also addeda big Desert Cooler radiator to keep things cool when it gets hot. On top of all this the truck has a dual gas tank set up with a selonoid switch over in the cab, so your front tank holds 12 gallons and rear holds 14, enough fuel for long road trips with out having to re-fuel, and no excuses for running out of gas some place! When we bought the truck it had recieved a complete engine re-build from Quinted Brothers, a rod shop around here, they did a re-bore and new pistons and headwork on the top, and the bottom recieved all new bushings and bearings and a high volume oil pump. At idle the truck is pushing 60 psi oil pressure, keeping your investment safe... Other than all this we had our own local master Ron (airbrush ron) re-paint the truck last year and we put on all the new crome fixens and some nice smoothie crome rims and re-did the interior. All in all it's an amazing truck, We love it, but our business is going in another direction and need to sell it to buy a vehicle that is better suited to transport bigger heavier motorcycles over longer and farther distances and sadly this is just not the truck for that, its to nice. Of note to the potential bidders - This truck is georgus, but it is no trailer quuen and your not going to win concourse at pebble beach, the way it is, the enging bay is dirty because it's driven, and although the paint is new, there some minor imperfections, you should be able to see in the pictures. The fleetside passenger side has a dent (small) but it should be noted, a good body guy should be able to streighten without to much fuss, we just never bothered Truck also come with a few boxes of spare parts and an additional set of 4 rims with good (nearly brand new studded tires) along with the nearly new tires also on the truck now Thanks a lot for looking and please ask questions
