1979 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 This FJ40 was originally from TX and was purchased by a good customer of ours and shipped here. Upon receiving it the customer ran into multiple engine issues and brought it to us for a 3FE engine conversion and a 5 speed H55F transmission install. This vehicle started life as a 1979 FJ40, a 1972 body tub was installed that was fairly clean and solid. The interior components such as the front seats are from a 1978 FJ40. The frame and front bib along with the firewall and wiring is all from a 1979. This cruiser is enjoyed every summer by the owner here in NH. It runs, drives and has no issues on that front. The frame has a rust through area as seen in pictures. The body has various rust issues and they can be addressed by you or we can have repaired here at our facility. The good: Excellent running 123k mile 3FE engine from a 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser. 5 Speed manual transmission with split style transfer case along with a drum parking brake kit. Solid dependable vehicle. Over $6000 in upgrades made by the owner right there!! Like new Tires and alloy rims. Factory Genuine Toyota Power Steering!
