Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 YOU ARE VIEWING ONE OF THE MOST, IF NOT THE MOST, FACTORY ORIGINAL 1958 FORD THUNDERBIRD IN EXHISTANCE TODAY; THAT IS NOT IN NEED OF RESTORATION. THIS MEANS THE FACTORY ORIGINAL PAINT, CARPETS, GLASS, CHROME, ETC…AND ALL IN VERY NICE CONDITION. MILEAGE OF 42.7K IS ORIGINAL AND CORRECT. THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT, THE EXHAUST, BRAKES, TIRES, GAS TANK, ETC. HAVE BEEN RECENTLY DONE AFTER A LONG TERM STORAGE. THE BODY IS CLOSE TO PERFECT WITH NO PRIOR COLLISION REPAIR OR RUST ISSUES AT ALL; IT HAS NEVER SEEN A WINTER AND EVEN RAIN WOULD BE QUESTIONABLE, AS THIS THUNDERBIRD HAS BEEN IN THE HANDS OF COLLECTORS FOR MANY YEARS. THE FACTORY FORD RAVEN BLACK PAINT IS STILL DEEP, SHINY, AND THICK. THE GLASS IS ALL ORIGINAL AND VERY NICE AS IS THE CHROME AND BRIGHT WORK. TRUNK AREA IS LIKE NEW WITH THE FACTORY BURTEX MAT, SPARE, AND JACK ASSEMBLY STILL IN PLACE. THE INTERIOR IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS AND SCREAMS 1958 AS DOES THE REST OF THE CAR. THIS THUNDERBIRD NEEDS NOTHING AT THIS TIME, JUST AN OWNER, COLLECTOR, OR MUSEUM THAT APPRECIATES AND UNDERSTANDS EXCELLENT ORIGINAL UNRESTORED CARS. Footnote. I don't mean to be brash about selling a car, but this car is not an example that you will come across very often. I know what I have searched out and found over the years. I like un-restored cars....with original factory paint. With original paint, you know the body underneath that you are buying. While I appreciate nicely restored cars, I do not own restored vehicles. Some of the so-called best restored cars have been hit, thrown together, etc. Not for me. I used to own restored cars but not anymore. Too many issues...the body being hit, rust, major components being lifted from another car, reproduction parts, and poor workmanship being some of the important ones. It is worth searching and finding the GOOD original UNRESTORED cars.....and if it costs more money once you have found what you are looking for...and it should...it's worth every penny....at least to me. Nothing better than to look at that car in your garage knowing that the car you own is one that the factory built and not one built by a local shop doing their best imitation of the original. Not my cup of tea. Nobody does it like the factory, and that is truly reflected in today’s values and desirability of UNRESTORED classic cars. This auction will be run like a true, old-fashioned auction. There will be no reserve price, and no "Buy It Now" price. The bidding will start at $13,500 and will run for the full 10 days, which means that the car will sell to the highest bidder if one or more bids are placed. I will NOT end the listing early, nor will I have friends or relatives bid on the car to drive up the price. In the years I've been an eBay member, I've found that eBay items always seem to sell for what they're truly worth. If you have any non-paying violations, please move on. Serious bidders/buyers only please.
