2000 Jaguar XK8 Convertible This is a truly exceptional Jaguar XK8 Convertible since all of its life has been in California and Nevada! Don't miss out on this one! No rust! I am pleased to offer my rare, triple black 2000 Jaguar XK8 Convertible for sale. The original MSRP on this vehicle was about $72,000. The title is a CLEAR Nevada Title in my name and possession with no lienholder. This is a No Reserve sale - you bid, you win! The interior is in nice condition. The front and rear leather seats show very little wear. Both front power leather seats function properly and both front seats are heated (an added plus in cold weather). The dash is in nice condition. All the gauges seem to function properly and the digital display looks great. There is no “check engine” light on and no warning lights of any kind are on. The air conditioning blows ice cold and the heater works nice. The power windows all work except for the right rear one. The power convertible top opens and closes. The gray headliner is in nice shape. The radio works and the speakers sound great. There is a 6-CD changer located in the trunk. The Owners Manual is in the glove compartment. The Keyless Remote works as it should and is included. If you have questions, please contact me. This XK8 is Rust-Free and has spent all of its life in California and Nevada. The exterior of the car is metallic black and shiny. The convertible top is in nice shape with no rips or tears. Included in this sale is the Boot Cover for the convertible top. It has very nice 17-inch silver alloy wheels that are in very nice shape. All four Michelin Pilot Sport tires have a lot of tread life left. Please check out the pictures to see the condition of the rims and tires. There is a full-size spare tire in the trunk. I also have a full set of the Chrome Revolver wheels with very nice tires on them - these are the same style as what is on the Jag now, except that they are the chrome rims and are in excellent shape! These will be made available to the Winnner of this auction, if the Winner is interested, for an affordable additional charge (contact me for more details). All the glass is in good shape with no visible cracks. The Drivers and Passengers side front and rear windows are Tinted with a dark tint (great for the boiling hot, sunny climate of Vegas!) and the windshield has a tinted "banana strip" on it. This is a nice, comfortable ride and is easy and fun to drive. If you have questions, please contact me. The engine runs nice and the transmission shifts smoothly and correctly. The mileage may be slightly more than is listed since this is my weekend driver vehicle. Please look at all the pictures and keep in mind that this is not a brand new car, so normal wear is to be expected. If you have questions, please contact me. Mechanical work that has been completed within the last 500 miles includes: Fuel Injectors have been cleaned and serviced, Spark Plugs have been replaced, Fuel Filter has been replaced, Tensioner Bearings have been replaced, Serpentine Belt has been replaced, Left Hand Cam Sensor Seal has been replaced, Wheel Alignment has been done, Starter has been replaced, Crankshaft Position Sensor has been replaced. The Automatic Transmission was replaced with a low mileage unit and functions as it should. Other items to note are: The Valet Switch works, but it has been disconnected since I do not have the Valet Key; the High Beam Switch does not put the headlights to high beam (relay / switch / fuse???) - (extra Switch is included with this sale); the dash light at the Temperature Gauge does not illuminate (bulb needs to be replaced); the Steering Column has a "knock" (I don't know how else to describe it???) when the foot brake is applied (this is addressed in Jaguar Technical Service Bulletin TS 211-06 which I found online and Jaguar recommends fixing the problem by installing a modified lower steering column rubber coupling - this is a minor issue, just mentioning it so you know); the Convertible Top Latch drips a few drops of fluid (I have found information online showing how to replace the Latch “O” rings - a common occurrence); the right Rear Window motor cables have been removed since they were all twisted, so at present this window is braced in the “up” position (I will include cables to replace the twisted ones). The body is nice but has a dent in the left rear quarter panel, a small dent above the right rear tire, the front bumper has a tear in the right front bottom and the clear coat is peeling off the third brake light on the top of the trunk. There are a few small stone chips, door dings and paint chips as to be expected on any vehicle of this year. If you have questions, please contact me.
