BRAND NEW TURBO DIESEL CONVERSION......TEST DRIVEN ONLY NEW Turbo Bio-Diesel conversion Westfalia Camper van 1982 year model with all the goodies in overall excellent condition Starts, runs and drives like NEW....Motor and clutch assembly have less than 1 mile on them (Yes! ONE MILE!!!).....all other mechanical items are in excellent condition, brakes, tires, steering, shocks....all excellent The body is very very straight with only dime size surface rust discoloration in bottom side skirting area....exterior in overall excellent condition with the exception of missing bumper guards.....the paint is excellent but does need a good wax job The windshield has a dime size circular crack that could be fixed/filled with a repair kit Interior in overall excellent condition with the exception of vinyl skin cover peeling off the side panels (this is an easy fix with "stick on" shelf paper of your choice) the top canvass has a tiny tear that could be re-sewn.....does not need replacement ALL the camping acessories like refer, stove, water, etc woks as good as new.....NO Dissapointments This is an excellent project that is more than 95% finished.....just add your personal touches Please ask questions if any details are not clear to understand Buy with confidence.....I have a 100% positive feedback here on e-bay On Apr-08-11 at 12:36:19 PDT, seller added the following information: NEW PICS POSTED It is a 1.6 Jetta motor that has been completely rebuilt with all NEW internal parts The clutch assembly including the flywheel and starter are NEW The vehicle was stored INSIDE for the last 5 years.....and it is stored inside even now All the mechanicals work as they should, I would not hesitate to drive it "cross country" but please consider that this is a 1982 model. .....it is 29 years old so it is going to have some issues somewhere......but right NOW it starts runs and drives excellent.....the tires are not weather checked or dry rotted or cracked, tread depth is at 50% ...... the brakes stop in a straight line.....the vehicle drives smooth and does not pull to the right or left The paint is in excellent original shape.....It shnes brilliant and glossy when lightly washed with a soapy washclothe.....waxing would make it shine and reflect like new.....YES! It does have a scrape and a small dent in the rear (drivers side) lift gate.....Once again let me remind you that it is 29 years old and it is the original paint. The inside front seats are in excellent tear free condition and have no visible wear pattern.....with the exception of a tiny 1/2 dime size split in the drivers head rest (bottom edge of seam) The carpets are in excellent condition.....front drivers side has some "flattening of the looping" but no worn thru spots.....the rubber mats are excellent. It is a manual transmission and shifts smoothly it all gears.....the outside of the trans case is covered in 29 years of hardened oil film/crust just as you would expect for a 29 year old vehicle.....it was not cleaned when the new motor was installed. The front windshield has a 1/2 dime size circular crack that could be easily fixed with a $10 kit from the local auto parts store (see pics) There are very minor interior flaws.....most of which would just take spare time and a few dollars to fix The canvass to has an 8 inch crack in the extreme rear of the raised top and a 1 & 1/2 crack above the front zippered opening.....the material is not rotted or brittle and could be re-sewn easy On Apr-08-11 at 13:13:54 PDT, seller added the following information: The refer, stove, water, etc all worked when it was put into storage years ago.....It should still work the same as it was stored INSIDE..... The only thing that has been done to it since coming out of storage is the NEW motor,etc..... The only things that need IMMEDIATE attention/fixing are......Hmmmm......well, none.....but the camper top could use a new seal as about 3 feet of it is missing (above the rear drivers corner).....and the rear bumper could look nicer if the rubber guards were back on it. If you are thinking of driving this vehicle back to wherever you live......it will probably be just fine......as I said before, I would have no fears getting in this vehicle and driving it coast to coast........but remember....... it is a 29 year old vehicle and should NOT be expected to perform as a brand new vehicle. Therefore.....I am selling this as is, with no guarantee expressed or implied...... On Apr-08-11 at 13:24:13 PDT, seller added the following information: The long curved markings in the top canvass (see pic #1) are WRINKLES.....they are NOT tears or rips.... there is a tiny 1 & 1/2 inch split above the zipper in Pic #1. On Apr-09-11 at 08:11:25 PDT, seller added the following information: The rust described in the lower body seam is "slight discoloration only"......there are NO rust holes anywhere on this vehicle. The paint scrape in the last picture is ONLY in the paint......it is a "scratch" and is not dented......
