Vehicle Detail

***Please Note*** This BMW is RWD, not AWD. Ebay would not let me change the drivetrain in the details. For sale is my 2001 BMW 330i, with the 3.0L I6 engine and steptronic transmission. I've owned this car for almost 4 and have owned BMWs for the past 7, fantastic vehicles. Unfortunately, due to mechanical issues I just cannot fix right now I'm letting her go. Let me give the general info first. It has 177,195 miles but the car still runs just like it did when I got it. It has the premium and cold packages, but when the suspension needed to be replaced I installed a H&R Sport Cup Kit. All accessories are functional except for the cruise control, which will be explained later. Front bumper was replaced with a sportier OEM ///M-Tech II front bumper. OEM Xenon headlights. New brake lines and R1 brake rotors and pads w/ brake sensors were installed last year. M3 style rear spoiler was put on 3 years ago. Flat black front grills installed after the clips to the originals broke and they fell off. 35% tint on all windows minus the windshield. Heavy Duty Meyle front control arms are also installed, these have replaceable ball joints unlike OEM which require you to replace the entire arm, which ends up being much more expensive. No rust that I personally except for underneath the front of the hood (which will need to be replaced, explained later). Interior includes a custom ///M light up shift knob w/ ////M shift boot, aluminum pedals w/ aluminum dead pedal, as well as a custom carbon fiber cloth interior trim (the winter jacked up the 3M spray glue, so some spots will need to be reglued). ///M black cloth floor mats and tan rubber mats are included. Stock 17" wheels with Hankook Ice Bear W300 tires currently installed, they should be good for at least one more winter. All four original keys and manual are included Brand new battery installed, only ran for 1.9 miles! The bad: During the last week of March 2011 after replacing the battery and checking everything out for the spring, I went to go give her a bath and a fresh coat of wax. As you can tell by the pictures, I never made it. :( The water pump that was supposed to last to 205k miles (replaced entire cooling system at 155k) seized, which then seized the fan clutch, which then over spun the fan causing it wobble and explode in side the engine bay. From what I can see due to the damage, it looks to be about $500-600 in damage (only parts), mostly just hoses, windshield washer hose, cooling sensor, fan, fan clutch, fan cowl, thermostat and water pump, cruise control hose, expansion tank cap, and some wires which got cut due to the flying plastic. Due to not being able to lift the car up at my current residence and a lack of a proper garage, there may be more but I just can't see it. The hood is shot, you can easily find an aftermarket one for $200 shipped and you're handy enough just buy some paint, paint it, and install. Would recommend new grommets for the emblem, I don't recall ever replacing them so they might be worn and not hold the emblem on. You can take off the black grills and install onto the new hood very easily. I would suggest this car go to somebody who is more DIY than someone who isn't, I can easily see the bill being $2000+ if you hire someone to do the work. If you do everything yourself, it won't cost anymore than a $1000 IMO, and that includes hiring someone to paint the new hood. Before this happened, the only dash light on was the airbag light, which is due to a faulty passenger seat belt sensor. Now, you have the airbag, low coolant, low windshield washer fluid, and SES lights on. The dash is lit up like a christmas tree minus the christmas cheer. The engine still starts and runs perfectly and the transmission has never given me issues. I would have already fixed my car myself if I had a place to do all the work myself, but unfortunately I don't. I'm hoping this can go to someone who can fix her up quick and get her back on the road so they can enjoy her as much I did. Clean title in hand, car will need to be towed to you. Call me or email me with anything you might need. Thanks.
