Up for "NO RESERVE" auction: 1978 Mercedes 450sl Convertible with the Hardtop. With only 72,000 original miles this 450 is in great condition. Always stored in a heated warehouse this car is very well preserved, and shows no signs of corrosion. Mechanically very sound, we just had our mechanic change all the fluids, replace the battery, and give it a full inspection. The numbers matching engine runs very smooth, and the transmission shifts perfectly. The tires and brakes are in great shape as well. All of the electronics function properly, including the factory radio. The exterior is in very good condition, and has been professionally polished and sealed. The soft top has a small (1 inch) tear in it, but is otherwise in very good condition. The hard top is in good shape with the exception of the chrome moldings peeling a little bit, but not very noticeable. The interior is very well preserved and almost looks like new! There is a typical small crack in the dash, but the seats and carpeting are in great shape with only very minimal wear.
