Vehicle Detail
This is my personal truck I drive EVERY single day. This is the FIRST and ONLY time this truck will be listed for sale. I love this truck and enjoy driving it daily but I have my eye on another toy. So, I'll throw it out there. 1965 Ford Econoline E100 Club Wagon. 5 window, 170ci. inline 6 (GREAT ON GAS!), 3-speed on the tree. This truck runs and drives GREAT. Steers straight and shifts nice with a smooth, strong clutch. As far as mechanical repairs go, I have a portfolio of all receipts and replacement parts. New carb, wheel cylinders, brake shoes, brake lines (not all, just a couple that were bad), points, cap wires, alternator, electric fuel pump, heater core, water pump, starter, hoses, belt and more. Truck runs cool. I just replaced the exhaust manifold gasket and valve cover gasket. Every light on and in this truck works. Has CD player with MP3 jack. Original shop book and sales brochure. Wipers work great, heat will run you out of the cab. Like I said, I jump in it every morning and drive it every day. Everywhere I go people love this truck. Emergency brake works too. All of the glass is clear with no cracks. Windshield has 2 small chips but no cracks and they are minor. Now for the rust issues. Like most all of these trucks in the midwest, there are always rust issues. This truck was "restored", I use that term lightly, MANY years ago and the previous body work is starting to show its age. From the side spear trim down on both bed sides of the truck there is Bondo. The front fenders are filled with Bondo. The Bondo job was probably good at one time... now it is showing its age. From a few feet away the truck looks great! But up close is another story (on the bed sides). I do know these bed sides are available for repair panels on ebay. Me, I don't mind and I like the way the truck looks. Character. Tailgate is in BAD shape. See pics. There was some patch work done on the floor board up front but it appears to be a good job. The bed floor has some small rust holes in places as well as some patch panels in the rear corners of the floor on both sides. Structurally, there is underbody rust in places. I would have to post 75 pics to cover every inch of this truck and type for days. I encourage anyone interested to come by and inspect the truck in person prior to bidding and we can drive it out the highway. I have been on many 4 and 6 hours drives in this truck and would drive it ANYWHERE. I am not looking to "cash in" on this truck. I have invested a significant amount of time and money in it to make sure it is a reliable driver. If a cool, RARE, daily driver is what you are looking for, THIS IS IT. If a perfect, rust free truck is what you are looking for, it's not this one. I have been watching these trucks for a few months and I have seen some really overpriced junk sell for stupid money. I am starting the bid at what I have invested in this truck. NO RESERVE. Also, I have a clear (clean) title in my name. No PayPal. Cashiers' check or cash in person sale. Contact me with any specific questions or for any additional pics. I am an honest seller and look forward to another smooth transaction. Here is a general video of the truck: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGqoqmeTiJg . I will try to post another video tomorrow of more detail as well as a few more pics. If you are new to ebay or have less that (10) feedback, please contact me prior to bidding. I will work with your shipper and coordinate a time for pick up if shipping is required but buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. Keep in mind, this is a 46 year old truck. I have described it to the best of my knowledge. I am the owner and driver of this truck and I stand firmly behind my opinion of this truck. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. This covers body rust, underbody and interior. Simply copy and paste: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EM0ZEZRXFQA . This will answer a lot of questions for anyone. Also, the 1965 INDIANA plate on this truck IS registered to this truck in Indiana. Thanks again.
