Vehicle Detail

1998 VW Jetta TDI- 222,000 miles- I purchased in 2008 (around 185,000 miles) and installed Greasecar VegOil System in May of "08. I also installed Yakama Racks and have recently replaced tires. The tires are Uniroyal Tiger Paw and have less than 500 miles on them. I had the water pump replaced in July 2008. The car was leaking a little oil when I purchased it, and some say that all diesels evetually leak oil, but I had the leak fixed last year and it seems to have stopped ever since. I have had to replace the back passenger window hanging arm twice, so I decided to just disconnect the wiring so it would not break again. The fuel level sensor in the car's diesel tank gets stuck sometimes. The muffler is going to need to be replaced soon. The AC needs recharging before the summer heat. The VegOil system has worked like a dream since I installed it. There is minor staining in the interior, but not bad for a 13 year old car. The stereo system is great- after market Pioneer CD/AM FM with auxillary port, so it's MP3 ready and the speakers sound great. There a a few small dents - one on hood, one on front passenger door, and one on rear bumper. Overall, it has been a great car. I bought it because I was driving a great distance to work (150 miles round trip) several times a week. My new job came with a vehicle to drive and the jetta has basically been parked ever since. It is too small for my wife and kids, so it's just sitting in my driveway. As I have decribed, it has it's quirks, but it is a great car which I have put a lot of personal time into and I really hate to sell it. The vegoil system will obviously save a person quite a bit of money in fuel, especially with the way prices are going up. It also is eco-friendly and puts out something like 30% of emmissions created by standard diesel engines. Check out the greasecar website for more info: http://greasecar.com/.
