THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!!!! One of a Kind 1983 Honda CB1000 Custom that is great condition. This is a very unique motorcycle that was manufactured for one year only!! This motorcycle was considered Honda's top of the line sport touring bike in 1983 and featured a 10 Speed Dual Range Transmission and a Air Ride suspension. This is your chance to own a piece of Honda motorcycling history at a very reasonable price. All paint, chrome and other finishes are in 100% original condition. The gas tank and side cover paint is in great shape and the chrome is still shiny with just a few worn spots. The seat has no tears or scuffs and except for a stone ding on the left side of the gas tank and a small dent in the left crash bar, the bike has no major cosmetic issues. This bike would make a great everyday rider as is or if you prefer, It would take very little to restore it to museum quality. The engine runs and revs without a miss and is very smooth with absolutely no exhaust smoke. The oil and filter were just changed, it has a new air filter and battery and the front fork seals were just replaced. The tires have plenty of tread left. The only engine issue is that the starter bendix will sometimes not engage the first time the starter button is pressed and when the engine is idling, you can hear the bendix rattling a little bit. It's very easy to change the starter on this model and if you decide to replace it, you can use the Clymer Service Manual that comes with the bike. The bike also includes the original tool kit and air pressure guage to adjust the Air Ride Suspension, a factory Sissy Bar and a Luggage Rack. I have 100% feedback and take pride in describing my items as honestly as possible. I have more pictures of this bike that you can request by email and I will take any additional photos of any part of this motorcycle that you desire. Your also welcome to call me with any questions you might have or if you want to see the bike up close and personal before bidding, it is located in southeastern PA. 717-487-6779 This is 28 year old motorcycle and while it is not perfect, you'll be very pleased with the bikes overall condition. It will however, be sold AS IS and the buyer will be responsible for the pick-up and transportation of this bike. You can also ride it home if you'd like. If you are the winning bidder, I require a $500 deposit within 24 hours of the end of the auction via PayPal with the cash balance due at pick-up. I will not ship this bike but if you want to arrange it on you own, I will assist in anyway possible. Good Luck and thanks for bidding!!! On Apr-08-11 at 18:51:56 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had several people ask how long I will store the bike before they have to pick it up. As long as the bike is paid in full within 7 days as stated in the payment and shipping details, I will store the bike for free as long as needed until you can arrange pickup.
