Vehicle Detail

This is an original, 1971 Honda CB750K1 motorcycle with matching numbers. Frame number is CB750F-1098755. Engine number is CB750E-1097241. As any experts know, it is common for the numbers between the frame and engine to be slightly different as many motors were pulled off line by Honda for inspection, testing, repair, etc....This bike is from the collection of the Motorcycle and Model Railroad Museum of Wisconsin and has been gone through completely. Only a few things have been done to it to refresh it so it runs great! These include the following: New rings/pistons New oil tank New oil lines Carbs cleaned and synchronized New Starter rebuild from Fondy Electric (does all of our elecrtrical work!) New starter switch New tachometer and speedometer as the originals were faded and cracked. New battery There is also a set of engine guards that have been installed and a set of highway pegs. These will also go with the motorcycle. All of the chrome, paint, metalwork, seat, mufflers, etc.....are original to the motorcycle and in excellent condition. Tires are excellent with good tred. The mileage on the original odometer was under 8,000 miles, but we had a new one here and it looks a lot better with the new unfaded gauges! We have put 524 miles (shown on the new odometer) on the bike this spring testing it and riding it to be assured that it is in good working order. (plus, it's just plain fun to ride it!) We were amazed at the condition of the motorcycle when it was given to us. We are selling it as we have multiple motorcycles of this model and when this occurs, we liquidate one or more to buy other motorcycles for the collection that we do not yet have. The bike is certified as a condition #2 by the Vintage Motorcycle Certification Service. The certification papers can be sent with the title if a person is interested in them. The title is clear and in the museum name. We will sign this and send it to you. We do not do notary work. This is not required in Wisconsin. If you need notary services, this must be done on your own accord. We have all of our bikes examined and graded for historical accuracy, running ability, and insurance purposes. As a comparison, number 1 condition would be a perfect brand new motorcycle off the showroom floor, or a perfect restoration. This motorcycle is just a step down from that. We were told that the only thing that drops the bike down one grade is that there are several spots on the frame (shown in the photos) where some paint has peeled. Value as listed in the Comprehensive Vintage Motorcycle Price Guide for this model is $7,500 in the latest 2011-2012 edition, and our reserve is far less than that. This vehicle is also for sale locally, so we reserve the right to remove the posting if it sells sooner. Don't delay if you have a serious interest in this motorcycle! We will not ship motorcycles, but will gladly work with the shipper you select to arrange for pick-up. They are more than welcome to call us once the bike has been paid for so we can arrange a time with them. We recommend Federal Motorcycle Transport, an agent of Allied Van Lines, as we have used them ourselves many times with great success. We can not give you a shipping estimate. You will need to call a shipper and arrange this from zip code 54313 to your site. No warranties are implied, and the motorcycle is sold as is, where is. All sales are final. However, as we buy and sell vintage motorcycles on a frequent basis, should you ever need parts or suggestions on where to get service for you motorcycle(s), we will gladly try to steer you in the right direction to our many supporters and suppliers should you need assistance in the future. We are connected with Honda experts worldwide who do excellent service and provide rare parts. Terms of payment are $500 due immediately after the sale through Pay Pal and the balance by certified check or money order within 7 days of the auction close. Once this payment clears, the bike is released to the shipper. We suggest you provide us with a contact name and number of the person at your bank handling the certified payment, as it is easy then to verify the payment is good and gets the bike to you much quicker! We say this because we had someone overseas who tried to pass us a phony money order and we knew it from the minute he contacted us that the transaction would be a problem and the police caught him with our help as he had scammed hundreds of people. We are easy to work with if you follow the terms of the auction. Feel free to e-mail us with any questions. Thank you!!
