(i have two different guys comming to see truck this weekend local so bid quickly if interested....this is a 14-15k truck) This is a great custom truck , first of all, i would love to keep it but moving cross country with new new babies... I bought the truck from a man in Tennessee who was involved in a race shop. They were building a truck for the Arco series but did not have total funding...the race motor was then put in the c-10 and made a hot rod- cruise machine with it. The truck is very sound, never stalls, always starts and is increadable to drive....so much fun...so many looks and thumbs up from all walks of life. Everyone loves this truck , bikers, truckers, hot rodders, kids you name it. CHASIS the truck was proffessionally lowered on springs and spindles....the frame was notched to allow the stance. The bed is unfinished due to the frame notch. No leaf springs, all springs and A arms....new bushings and fasteners. Truck has Moser axle in rear and was told is 3.73 ratio but not verified. Has 20" boss wheels in back and 18" in the front. MOTOR This is the good part, professionally built race motor (never used in racing) is 434 small block stroker ....putting out aprox 600+ hp at 6200rpm and north of 525 of torque. Use dart race block and 2.02 aluminum heads. All forged internals, forged scatt crank, forged pistons and rods. Roller cam, roller Scorpion rockers with all other components built to race standards. Pro series electric water pump, msd ignition, twin fan electric super cool radiator, lemon headers. Truck was given a high rise air gap aluminum manifold to make it better at lower rpm than the racing manifold. Has Holley double pump 750 carbuerator with mechanical secondaries. The motor runs super cool always...in summer never exeeds about 175degrees and fall never above about 145 or 150. Oil pressure always between 70-90. TRANSMISSION Truck has a rebuilt Muncie 22 rock crusher trans....this is the heavy duty, close ratio unit that was found in some of the super muscle cars of the past. The thing shifts great...very smooth and positve with no vibration or unwanted slop. The truck has bran new red interior....rare buckets with center console. Bran new black carpet and gauges....rpm, water temp, oil pressure...sport comp. No rust anywhere on truck except spot beneath front right fender where original battery had leaked. Now has Optima red top mounted in bed. Truck has great power steering and manual brakes...both are very easy use....steering is super positive with ZERO PLAY. COSMETICS Truck was painted with hot rod satin black with a nice vintage look, has clear coat for protection. Very easy to keep clean...and looks cool if it is not, this is a very tough looking truck with its custom aluminum grill and pipes spilling out the sides like a AAR cuda. Has a domed hood that is a funcitioal cowl induction for the motor....and looks great. HOW IT DRIVES This thing is blast to drive...just feels so strong, very easy to drive considering the power. Super tight suspension, handles almost like an older Porshce 911 but with much more power. Does great in corners even though it is a truck and not that light. Does not really like bumpy roads though. The steering is like a new sports car, you would have no idea you are driving a 42 year old truck. Power comes on like a freight train after 3500rpm and once the secondaries open up...the thing screams. This truck will outrun most anything on the streets. BRakes are disc front and drum read.....very posistive feel and never a squeek from them. Has a 15 gal race fuel cell mounted below bed .....runs on premium fuel wonderfully...does not need booster. Most folks looking at and hearing the truck know it is fast, but dont know just how fast which is real fun. Folks in mustangs and chargers and such will challange and loose. All lights and blinkers, and gauges work execpt speedo. wiper blades removed but has working motor and bullets....heater hoses removed. This is all i can think of now...let me know questions.....remember that the motor and engine set up alone is worth more than my reserve is set at. You cannot possible loose...cus i must sell now.
