You are looking at an original 91K mile 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 2 door Sport Coupe. This Camaro is a REAL Z28 that retains its original 350-LM1 powerplant backed up by the original Turbo-Hydramatic 350 automatic transmission and the original heavy duty positraction equipped 10 bolt rear end. This Camaro Z28 is an original Dark Brown exterior paint car with a Tan Custom Vinyl Interor. This Z28 is a rock solid car that retains roughly 70% of it original paint. This is an extremely solid car that is very presentable especially considering it is 33 years old, but it is not without it's flaws. The Sheetmetal on the car is beautiful!! The car has no rot or rust underneath and has no structural issues at all. The floor and trunk pans are very nice on the car. I found one small rust hole that is very tiny in the drivers door jamb and that is about it for rust on the car. It has spent the better part of it's 30+ years inside a garage and it really does show in the way this car presents itself after all this time. This car is an excellent driver!! The LM1 350-4V engine is the standard engine in the Z28 and while not a super high horsepower mill, it is indicative of a late 70's high performance engine and delivers smooth performance. The car has a freshly rebuilt Rochester Quadrajet on it from National Carburetors with a lifetime warranty. The Z28's throttle response is smooth and precise! The car has had only 3 owners!! The original owner traded the car into a Pontiac Dealership in Texas back in 1983 on a New Trans Am. The second owner bought the Z28 from the Pontiac Dealership in 1983 and kept it for over 27 years until I purchased the car. It has always been adult owned and is pretty much unmolested. Beside the normal maintenance items being replaced, it has not been modified. Amazingly this Z28 still retains all of it's original Air Cleaner and assembly pieces, Intake and Exhaust Manifolds, etc!! The Turbo Hydramatic 350 Transmission shifts smoothly and precisely and works as it should. It delivers the LM1's power to the Chevrolet 10 bolt positraction rear end out back. The posi works FLAWLESSLY (see pic) in this car!! This Z28 is loaded with options to include: Power Steering Power Disc Brakes Power Windows Power Door Locks Air Conditioning Tinted Glass Rear Window Defroster Tilt Steering Wheel Cruise Control Custom Vinyl Interior Style Trim Group The Z28 rides on 15 X 7 inch Chevrolet 5-spoke Z28 Ralley Wheels and has a nice a set of 215-65-15 Goodyear Eagle GT II Radials to plant the Z28 to the pavement through the corners. The mostly original Dark Brown Metallic paint while still presentable, it is nowhere near perfect!! It has plenty of nicks, chips, dings, and flaws in the paint/body, but overall is a still a good looking car that you would be proud to roll up in on Cruise Night to fraternize with the local BOWTIE contingent! The front bumper has a spot where the previous owners wife bumped another car in traffic and it put a small tear in the bumper (see pic) that will need attention at some point if you want the car to be perfect. The Tan Custom Vinyl Interior also is very decent and serviceable, but is not perfect. The driver's seat back has a seam that has split. The dash, door panels, and console are all in very good shape, but not perfect as you would expect of a 'driven' car. Carpet and Headliner are nice in the car. The original radio was replaced years ago with a Pioneer Super Tuner AM-FM Cassette Stereo and it still sounds great today!! In the last 3 weeks I have installed a new battery, rebuilt carbueretor, new power window motors and gear set, The Air Conditioning is all there but the belt is off the compressor currently. Besides replacing the belt, I am sure it will need to be charged in order to blow cold again. This Z28 is a very clean, low mile, mostly original and unmolested Z28. It has been taken care of and well maintained by its owners and the condition of the car both cosmetically and mechanically reflects this. This car runs and drives as it should!! You can drive this car proudly just as it is and enjoy it while you perform the different weekend upgrade projects of your choice on the car!!. Please ask any questions before you bid. The Power Windows and Power Locks both function though the passenger side is a little sluggish at times. The Tachometer does work but is not accurate; there is a spare tach that comes with the car. The motor runs great, though it is no rocket-sled!! The cars drives very tight and has been very dependable. There are many extra trinkets and parts that come with the car. I have a lot of receipts, documents, catalogs and manuals for the car as well to include the original owners manual. Thanks for looking and bidding!!
