1972 Other Makes Montesa Cota 247

I really do not know were the right place to start. The pictures would be a great place I would think. This Montesa Cota 247 was lovingly dismantled and then even more so, lovingly restored to it's present state of absolute beauty. All new paint, both frame and tank/bodywork. The seat was redone and recovered. This Montesa does have the original and true exhaust. Forks as well as the shocks are original. The engine was dismantled and then reassembled. The only parts that are not original are the grips, the chain cover and chain. The original chain cover were made of plastic and did not last long, they are also unobtainable, so the restorer replicated one in aluminum. This restoration was completed in 2005, it was started and fully checked out making sure all was functioning as it should be. Then it was placed on display in a private collection were it has been since. The pictures you see are accurate, true and just taken on March 20th, 2011. And yes it is truly a beauty.  If you have no feed back on Ebay please call me before bidding to ensure that you are for real. A deposite of $500.00 will be required within 24 hours if you are the high bidder, full payment within 4 business days or as arranged. Shipping will be at the purchaser's expense, I will be more that happy to meet your shipper of choice or take the bike to a local transportation hub.  A bill of sale will be provided, this bike does not have a title as it is for off road use (or will just on display for that matter).
