Up for bid is what I believe is a 1957 Willys Jeep CJ-5 I believe it is all original, Im selling this as is. The serial number is 57548-15799 This is not a mint jeep the floors boards are rotted under the driver seat and passenger seat. See pictures and video link on u tube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2ETGDWrSyg The back bed is not rotted out just dented. The body is salvageable the fenders are not perfect but fixable. The brakes do not work. One of the hubs is missing I drove it around the field and it needs a tune up, but it runs. The lights don’t turn on The light in the main gauge works though The radio does not turn on It has a Small leak in the radiator The horn does not work The rear lights do not work It does not have a gas tank Im not sure if it’s a 12 volt or a 6 volt. When I looked up the numbers on the generator GGW 4801D 12G it read that the generator in it was a 12 volt. And when I stated it I used a 12 volt I tried a 6 but it didn’t have enough juice to turn it over. I can’t think of anything else The guy I bought it off of said that if you don’t go to neutral before you shift and stop sometime you need to slide the gears back. I guess this is common on these. No idea though. Will take trades like WW2 or WW1 items I reserve the right to cancel the auction for any reason. This web site I found says it’s a 1957. Only 17006 were made in that year, mine is 15799 I guess. I live in Maine zip is 04020 You need to make your own arrangement for pick up. I will work with you on a holding it, but payment is required prior to making any arrangements. If you would like to stop by and look just ask if you want more pictures just ask. Look, don’t bid if you can’t pick it up unless other arrangements have been made. Upon pick up you need to bring your own battery. If you put $1500.00 into it you would have a nice ride real cheap.
