Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my baby. I laid it down in December and now my wife says it goes or she goes..........................give me a minute I'm thinking here. OK, let's get the bad stuff out of the way first. It's gonna take a few hundred dollars to get her back to where it was before we went down. It'll need a new windshield, front brake master cylinder, left front foot peg, right side frame slider (ground down pretty good), and the rear brake pedal may or may not be able to be straightened out. There is a small rash on the lower right side fairing also. The fairing where the windshield attaches is broken also, but I think a new windshield and some super glue will fix that. There are a few slight scratches here and there, every time I walk by her, I notice something else, but I'm major picky. All in all it came out of the accident a lot better than I did. Other than that, there is nothing mechanically wrong with it. So if you're handy, and can get most of these parts salvage or Ebay (I figured somewhere between $200-$300), you'll have a great bike for a great price. Now for the good stuff. It's a 2001 Honda CBR 929 RR Erion racing edition. 11,500 miles, with a polished frame ($400.00), GPR stabalizer ($495.00) Scorpion exhaust ($230.00 sounds awesome). It has a rear padded seat, and also the targa cover. Flush mounted turn signal indicators (Carbon fiber look). LED rear brake light and turn signals ($75.00). I just put in a new D&H clutch, and just had service done on it with Mobil 1 synthetic ($225.00). Also just had a new stator put in ($275.00). Brand new Battery ($90.00). Brand new Michelin Pilot radials ($350.00 and they still have the nubs on them). Wheels are powder coated black with a red stripe ($300.00). All this was done within 500 miles ago. It'll need mirrors, but I already had a new set, so those go with it too. It'll also come with new gel grips for the handle bars, and new bar ends. I'll throw in a helmet, it's a Sparks Cranium Freedom. It has a new shield that goes with it (never even been put on the helmet yet). I'm gonna price this bike at $2950 that's the reserve, but if you want to go $3400, and buy it now, I'll throw in a pair of black leather leggings ($70.00). A red, white and black Honda CBR racing leather jacket ($175.00 a little scuffed up). A red and black Joe Rocket mesh jacket ($115.00). Two pair of gloves($90.00). Plus an almost new pair of Shift riding shoes size 9 ($85.00). And an extra helmet ($100.00). You can feel at ease also, as I'm not your typical sport bike rider. I'm 58 years old and up until the accident (loose gravel) been riding for 30 years, and it's the first time I was ever down. This bike, as all my other bikes, were treated perfectly (never been redlined, both wheels always on the ground, etc). If it needed something it got it. I wanted to fix her back up, but my wife's afraid if I do, I'll get the fever again and never sell it. (Don't tell her, but she's exactly right) I'd really like this bike to go to someone who'll appreciate it, and enjoy it like I did. If you have any more questions, just email me at mbrashers1@cox.net if you do, and need to talk to me about anything, I'll give you my phone number then.
