Vehicle Detail
If you ever wanted a AWESOME, VERY RARE 1964 1/2 Mustang PROJECT car you have found it today. The car has the original 260, (block #'s C4OE-6015 C ) and the original T10 4 speed manual transmission. The motor runs beautifully, transmission shifts just fine too. This is a great example of a very early production Mustang. The car does need a full restoration but, when the car is finished she will be unlike the others! The early 64 1/2 Mustangs where a very limited production due to the short production run. The car does have some rust but, nothing that can't be fixed. The car starts right up, runs just fine, and even has the original rearend with the tag still attached to her. I am selling her as a project car as I do not have a title for the car. The car has not been registered since the late 80's, and who knows what happened to the title. There are many companies that you can get a title through, and some states are very easy to obtain a title for a Classic. ENGINE/ TRANS: The engine is the original motor for the car and the block #'s are C4OE-6015C, the 260 was only offered in the 64 1/2 run and was discontinued when the 65 Mustangs came out. The motor runs just fine, but I don't know the exact mileage on the motor. The transmission is the original T10, and she shifts just fine. Clutch feels nice and firm, and you can run through all the gears just fine. If you look at the pics she still has the 4 speed shifter that is original to the car and not a reproduction. There is also a pic of the tag on the rearend also. The car has drum brakes all the way around and they work just fine too. The car also has dual exhaust. You can come take the car for a test drive and see how well she runs and drives too! INTERIOR/ EXTERIOR: The interior had the original carpet when I pulled up the front piece to show the floors. The windshield has been pulled from the car as it was cracked. The rest of the glass is great. The windows still roll up and down just fine, the doors open and close just fine too. The wipers work, the heater blower motor still works, gauges work and with the exception of a few lights outs they all work too. The headliner in the car is in great shape, visors are too. Seats need some new upholstery as you can see. The chrome trim for the windshield and rear window are in the trunk and in good condtion, with no pitting. The exterior is where she need the most work. The front fenders have some rust, the front floorpans have some rust and need to be replaced too. The rear floorpans are in great shape though as the pics show. The trunk is in good shape overall, but the rear quarters need some work. The drivers side quarter will need to be replaced but, the passenger side should be able to be repaired with some body work or a patch panel. All the torque boxes and frame rails are in great shape with no rust issues at all. The front end looks great with no signs of ever being in an accident. With two fenders, and two front floorpans she would be almost done. Then have the quarters repaired and she would be awesome. Just plan on a FULL RESTORATION to the car as she is a project. When all is said and done you will have a rare classic. Please remember the car is sold with a Bill of Sale only, as I do not have a title for her. INFO: The car is a PROJECT TYPE CAR!!!. The car is NOT perfect by any means but it’s 42 years old also. Please know this before bidding. I tried to cover the car the best I could so, if you have any questions please email me, and I will answer them ASAP. There's no warranty on the car, and it's sold "AS IS". The car may be inspected anytime BEFORE the auction closes! I may end the auction at anytime. The wining bidder is responsible for all shipping arrangements. There is a $250.00 non refundable deposit due within 24 hours of the auctions end. The remaining balance is due within 7 days of the auction closing. ONLY THE DEPOSIT MAY BE PAID WITH PAYPAL, THE REMAINING BALANCE MUST BE CASH, OR A CASHIER'S CHECK. The car must be picked up within 2 weeks of the auction closing. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Thank You and good Luck! On Apr-01-11 at 21:11:35 PDT, seller added the following information: If the winning bidder is interested I have a correct 1964 Distributor, that has the oiling port, and a C4 part #. I can't remember the rest of the part# though sorry. I have the correct sealed valve covers, and a 1963 intake manifold from a 260. I have the correct timing cover with the oil fill tube that comes up out of the timing cover. Last, I have a used 1965 water pump that is still attached to the timing cover. These are just a few things that I have been able to gather, good luck!! These parts will be sold separately from the car.
