Vehicle Detail
I’m listing this for a friend. Here’s the story. The bike was left outside in 1997 for period of time and sustained internal moisture problems. The work listed below was completed to repair the damage. He rode the bike in 1998 and then parked it in a (unheated) garage. It was running properly when parked. The bike was recently picked up during the week of 3/14 from that garage. (now ex-wife’s house) He brought it over to my house to “clean up “ to sell. I pulled the plugs and fogged the cylinders before attempting to try the engine. It turned over by hand easily. The gas tank has some fuel in it and has turned. The inside has rust where there was no fuel. The petcocks were not opened. There is rust on the rims and other parts that is beyond cleaning. The headlight and the front forks seemed to cleanup. The cases have no cracks that I could see and will cleanup. The handle bars are bent. The bike has a Mustang seat, the original seat and the pan is good. The cap for the oil tank under the seat is missing. The throttle turns and springs back, carb slides are free. The bike has under just 10k (9487) on the speedometer. The engine is original to the frame and has a clear Illinois title. I have the four receipts for all the work done, a key for the fork lock and one for the ignition. I will not ship. If the bike needs to be shipped it is at the buyer responsibility. I have no monetary interest in the bike.. Please email and I can take any photos if needed and will check on any questions. The bike is sold “as is” .
