1991 Mercury Capri – These cars were only produced for 4 yrs, 91-94 and were made in Australia. This car has been my daily driver for the past few years. It has a new exhaust system($450.00) and very good tires. Originally advertised as 40 MPG but it’s more like 30-35 now depending on where and how you drive. It has a few blemishes as seen in photos but overall is in good shape for the year. There is some fading on the hood. The top is in good shape but the rear support cable needs to be re-threaded thru the edge of the lip. It works fine as is . AC not working- may need a recharge. We have enjoyed this car for the past several years but it’s time to let someone else enjoy it. Has remote starter Currently the car has a problem that I have not been able to identify. Occasionally while driving the engine just stops. It turns over fine but just won't start. If I let it stand a little while it starts right up. This has happened 3-4 times over the past few weeks. Possible problem with ignition module/ fuel pump/ or ECM . I’m not a mechanic so your guess is as good as mine. For that reason I am selling as is and would suggest that the car ONLY be towed and not driven when picked up. Even as a parts car it is worth at least $500.00.
