Vehicle Detail
1954 Chevy 3600 series Pick-Up truck. It has the 6 volt electrical system with a 235 engine with a 4 speed manual transmission with granny gear low. This truck comes with the original 1954 clear title. I bought this truck from an old farmer in 1998. He stated that it hadnt been ran since 1988. He parked it because the brakes were out. I started to do some work on getting it to run. The motor was siezed up. I got it loosend up and contined to replace all of the ignition system parts. I cleaned the engine and replaced the carburator with a new remanufactured rochester carb. I put a new coil in it . I got it fired up and the motor ran smooth. I havent had it running since 2005. It has been inside my garage since then. I lost interest since I wasnt able to fund the restoration project any longer. So I am selling it for that reason. I did rebuild all the brake cyclinders and put new brake linings and I rebuilt the master cylinder. Over time the brakes are down and need to be bled again. I do not have a 6 volt battery for it now. The truck is pretty solid. The odometer says 22,500 miles. Im really not sure if it is once around or not. The farmer used it to haul feed to his cattle and pull wagons around the farm and an occassional trip to the feed mill. The engine ran real strong when I did get it going. The worst case it has 122,500 miles on it. It does have some farn dents. It is missing the bumpers. as they welded on 2 hitches for pulling wagons. I do have an extra rear fender that I took of another parts truck I had. last year I started to work on the hood I tore it down and striped it down to bare metal and got it ready for a finish sanding. I have all the hood parts for the reassembly, but have never reasembled it. It is a work in progress and will need to be trailered home. I also am selling numerous parts accessories in other listings on Ebay. So be sure to check my other listings. If you desire to call me for questions, my number is 815-979-5503
