Selling my beloved 1976 Scout II. This truck has been upgraded tastefully and is ready to take you wherever you want to go. 99% rust free - nothing on the exterior, only minor surface rust spots near the pinch welds on the doorjambs, around the tailgate and other hidden areas - absolutely no cancer. This Scout has lived its life inside a garage. Original miles on the Scout are unknown as the speedometer has been replaced, however, the motor was rebuilt a few years back and has less than 15k. Motor runs very strong and is very reliable. This is a family friendly vehicle and I would have no problem driving across the country in it today. The truck drives straighter than any lifted 4X4 I have ever driven. There is absolutely no bump steer, it doesn't wander or pull under acceleration or deceleration. You can literally drive at 55 MPH with your hands off the steering wheel (see video test drive) Can be used as a daily driver or as a weekend cruiser. Tires are 75% or better, wheels shine. Transmission shifts perfectly. The Scout does have factory installed Air Conditioning which didn't work when I got it and I have never messed around with it - it appears to be all there. Does need some weatherstripping around the front doors. Although I have tried to describe the scout the best that I can, keep in mind that this is not a showroom vehicle....it is 35 years old. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer Scout than this one, they are becoming very hard to find - and especially in this condition. I have the original warranty paperwork from the dealer as well as the line ticket.
