1992 Ford Mustang GT Convertible, original 16,800 miles!!!!!! Yes, that's right, under 17k miles on this nearly 20-year old car. I'm the second official owner. I inherited it from my father. He bought it from the dealership when it was 1-year old. It had originally been driven by the Dealership owners wife. This is as close to original/mint condition as you will find in a 19-year old Mustang. It's not my style so here it is for you. I've owned this car for about 4 years. In that time I have put on about 4k miles. Those miles were primarily from a trip between Cleveland, OH and Tucson, AZ, in 2007, when I first inherited it. It was then kept in a covered carport in Tucson for about 6 months, at which time I moved it back to OH and put it back in my mothers garage. Other than that road trip this car has always been stored in a garage in Cleveland and only came out for short drives (or for my father to clean it). My father babied it. It saw rain fewer than 6 times (when I drove it) and never saw snow or salt. There is no rust. There are no leaks. This thing is beautiful. It has all the options available for a 1992 Mustang Convertible, including: Power windows/doors White Power top with glass rear window A/C AM/FM Cassette player with equalizer White leather interior Cruise control I would consider this car to be a 9/10 (in terms of originality and functionality). A couple of small fixes will take it up to a 10: It has the original tires. They served me well for my cross-country road trip. However, due to their age you might want to replace them if this is to be a daily driver. There is a small chip/scratch in the paint in the right/rear bumper. This appears to have happened while in storage and looks as if something may have fallen against it in the garage. It is minor and could be easily touched-up by someone with more skill than I at body-work. (You can see it in one of the pictures). Back in the day, my father, had a bit of classic Mustang envy (I owned a 1967 Convertible). So he decided to remove the original exhaust ends from this Mustang and weld on a set of dual exhaust tips from a 1967 Mustang. Otherwise it is all original and ready to turn heads this spring! On Mar-22-11 at 00:10:27 PDT, seller added the following information:It was brought to my attention that there is an error in the CarFax report. I want to assure you that the car is 16,800 original miles and it was never 109,000 miles as reported on 03/01/2004 on the CarFax. That would be impossible unless you believe the car was driven 105,000 miles in 4-years and then lost 95,000 miles in another 4-years. My only guess is that wherever the reading listed came from, it was supposed to be 9000 miles. I am working to try to resolve this, but as I am unfamiliar with CarFax, am not sure I will be able to.
