Vehicle Detail
This mach 1 has a very stout 351c 4v head engine, it has roller rockers, 11-1 compression, 550 solid lift cam, aluminum intake and a holley carb. Engine was freshened up about 5000 miles ago an still packs a heavy punch. However it is still very streetable as all of its mileage after freshening has been on the street. Has headers with a full exhaust and cherry bombs. The top loader 4 speed has a newer clutch and pressure plate and goes thru the gears very nice, has a blowproof bellhousing, the shifter is the original ford hurst shifter and is a little sloppy however. The 9' rear end is equiped with a 411 posi as well as 31 spline axles. Rear end does not make any noises and appears to be in great shape. Has manual drum brakes all the way around with a line loc. the shocks are comp engineering drag shocks on front and air shocks on back. The car also has the reinforced shock towers like in the cobra jet cars from the factory. Engine compartment needs a detail and the lh front fender apron has a hole cut in the bottom of it where a overflow bottle used to be back in the days when this car was a weekend bracket racer. A new lh front floor pan has been installed and the rest of the floorpans are in good shape. Car used to have a roll bar in it so the trunk floors still have the plates on them where the roll bar was attached. The body is in pretty good shape with a little rust in front of the lh rear wheel and a patch that was put in (about 3"x3") behind the rh rear wheel before its last paint job in the mid 80's. There are some small door dings here and there but not to bad for its age. The passenger side door was also replaced before the last paint job due to a dent that was to bad to repair. The paint is old and does show its age however it could be driven for a while as is since it is not horrible just no great. The interior has all been redone in the last few months with a whole interior kit. There are a few small trim pieces missing on the lower dash as well as the top of the rear seat. Car also has the rare factory tach that does work. The rim blow horn works also which is not usually the case. Overall this is a very fast and fun to drive mach that can be driven for a while before a paint job and engine detail take this car to the next level where its value is in the upper 20k range.
