This is a clean, low mileage 560SL. It runs smooth and quiet. It drives out very nice with no rattles or squeaks. The original V8 does not use oil or smoke. It has plenty of power. The automatic transmission shifts sure and true. It features power windows, power locks, cruise control, Alpine AM/FM Stereo CD player. It has a very straight, rust free body. The undercarriage is clean and rust free. The trunk and spare tire area is nice and clean. There is normal wear on the original seats. The paint has a few blemishes from age, but looks great. The original black convertible top has a couple of small spots that could use attention, but overall very nice. Please email for close up pictures of any flaws. The gentleman whom we purchased this SL from, told me that the golf pro, legend, Jack Nicklaus was the first owner of this car. Since Mercedes Benz does not have a "Heritage Certificate", like Jaguar does (I own the '62 E-Type OTS that Jerry Lewis first owned), I have no way of confirming this. I have tried to contact the classic center in California, but all I get is voice mail. They have not returned my call. Maybe one of you can check into this and let me know what you find out!
