Selling my beloved 1997 BMW M3 Sedan in the rare Byzanz (Copper) Exterior only offered in 1997. It also comes with the Luxury Package and has the Magma (Light Brown) Leather Interior. It is a 5 speed Shiftronic Automatic with Sports, Manual, and Economy modes of operation. The A/C blows cold, this car has cruise control, power seats, AM/FM/Cassette Radio, Moonroof, and there are no dead pixels in any of the displays. I am a BMW Car Club of America (BMWCCA) member and am only selling due to downsizing with the addition of a new child to my family. This was a previous 2-owner car prior to me buying it. I bought it from the second owner in 2010 who had owned it from 2001 when he bought it as Certified Pre-Owned from BMW and then sold it to me. It currently has just over 130k miles and will accumulate a few more miles as I alternate driving this car every other day to work. That is an average of less than 10k miles a year! I bought this clean example planning originally to keep it for at least 10 years, unfortunately I cannot and am parting with it now. To help get the suspension back to its original glory I started the work below: Three months ago I spent about $1000 and went ahead and overhauled all of the front suspension components and half of the rear getting it back to as new OEM spec using OEM and OEM equivalent/better products purchased from Pelican Parts. I did the following work: -Replaced the Front Strut Mounts x 2 -Replaced the Front Struts x 2 -Replaced the inner and outer ball joints on the Front Control Arms x 2 -Replaced the Front Control Arm Bushings x 2 -Replaced the Front Sway Bar Bushings x 2 -Replaced the Front Sway Bar Enlinks x 2 -Replaced the Steering Inner Tie Rod Ends x 2 -Replaced the Steering Outer Tie Rod Ends x 2 -Replaced the Steering Tie Rod Boot and Clasps x 2 -Replaced the Rear Shock Mounts x 2 -Replaced the Rear Shocks x 2 Recommend the following to get it back to optimal performance: -Replace Rear Control Arm Bushings -Replace Rear Sway Arm Bushings -Install Rear Sway Bar Endlinks (I have already purchased these and are included with the car) Other maintenance I completed in the last half year were: -Resurfaced Front Rotors x 2 -Resurfaced Rear Rotors x 2 -Replaced Coolant Expansion Tank x 2 -Replaced Coolant Hose to Expansion Tank The binder full of maintenance slips/receipts chronicles past maintenance such as Replacing the Water Pump with a BAV Auto High Performance Water Pump, Replaced the Radiator, Replaced Belts and Tensioner, Replaced Sparkplugs, Replaced O2 Sensors, Replaced the Battery, Dropped Transmission Pan for full service clean, full service on Power Steering system. Things to look at are: -Front BMW Emblem needs a new Decal as the old one has peeled off. A new one is around $5. -One of the Jacking Point Covers is scuffed up. -The rear bumper has had a lot of its clear coat flake off. -Occasionally the ASC and ABS light come on together after driving for a while. If you restart the car it goes away. -Front Tires will need to be replaced in near future. -Less than normal wear and tear for a vehicle from 1997. Car is listed for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early to sell it outside Ebay should it sell via other channels. I am listed in Southern California and am willing to make time to show the vehicle to any interested parties should you want to drive to Temecula, CA.
