Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE I am the second owner of this 89,000 mile truck. Clean, Central Oregon Desert (DRY CLIMATE) 1968 Ford F250! This truck is COMPLETE. I bought this to do a frame off restoration for myself. However, as one would know, found another project to do, that is more along what I want. Can't keep them all, so this one is up for bids! Overall, it's in great shape for its 43 year old age. The bed is in great shape - not hammered to death like some of them are. In the condition this truck is in, if one were to look at the NADA value website, they put the value on this truck around 12K. That’s NADA. They must be smoking something….. I’m a realist and the reality is a reserve that is set more appropriately to the current market. If you are looking for a classic truck this is a great start! OPTIONS: The coveted 390 V8! The real deal – “H” Code Vin and OEM Engine. Runs good, doesn’t smoke or anything. Ranger Package that is all there and complete, C6 Auto Transmission, Shifts very smooth and good. Dana 60 Rear End, Quiet and smooth. Power Steering AIR CONDITIONING! Factory Tool box in the bed Bed Liner – The old school slide in type. Canopy Extra Wheels with tires. Here is what has been done in the past 6 months: Front Coil Springs were replaced (Moog) All new shocks installed (KYB Gas-A-Just). When the rear brakes were done, the following was replaced: New Shoes, Hardware kits, wheel cylinders, parking brake cables (These cost a fortune!) and all new Bearings and seals. The Original drums were okay to machine (Turn) and this was done. I suspect with normal use, this set of brakes will last next to forever?.....:D Stops true and straight. Being over 10 years old, paint is in good shape. As you can see by the photos, it presents well. By no means is it a concourse vehicle, but a very nice “Driver”. I get compliments everywhere I go with it. In case you are wondering, I DO have the original Factory Chrome wheels for this truck and they go with it. The Alloy wheels that you see in the photos also stay with the truck, along with the canopy. More bang for the buck! I have more pictures at: http://s379.photobucket.com/albums/oo233/camtscott/?albumview=slideshow For now, the snow has returned to the Central Oregon Desert and for now, this truck is still stored indoors out of the weather. Those who have come out to drive it have all liked it. So keep bidding and bid often it could be yours soon! DECODING THE VIN TAG: The Top line of the Door tag, is the VIN of the truck, Vin: F25HRD06645 F25 = F250, 2 Wheel Drive H = 390 V8, 2 Barrel Carb R = Built at the San Jose, CA Plant D06645 = Sequential Build Number – This Particular Truck was Built in March, 1968 The Second Line of the Data Plate translates out, as: 131 = Length of Wheel Base in inches A = Color of Truck was Raven Black F254 = Gross Vehicle Weight of 6,900 Pounds N = Dark red crinkle vinyl and red granada pattern vinyl 81 = Conventional Cab G = Automatic Transmission 24 = 4.10 Dana 60 Differential The Bottom Line of the VIN Tag indicate the following: 6900 Lbs Gross Vehicle Weight, 190 Horsepower at 4000 RPM and the Vehicle was Sold through the Salt Lake City District of Ford Motor Company. Last but not least, Check out my feedback Payment Terms: Unless agreed otherwise, a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 is due upon winning the auction. I expect full payment within 7 days of auction close. I will accept payment as follows: The safest and best choice for both parties involved is direct bank wire transfer. I’ve done this a number of times now, both buying and selling, and it works best for everyone involved and protects both the seller and buyer. If you have questions about this, please don’t hesitate to contact me at: 541 678-3399 Pacific Standard (West Coast) Time. I will also accept Cashier’s Checks, but expect up to two weeks for funds to totally clear, before I release the vehicle. This is due to the fact that there is a lot of fraud these days, in regards to cashier’s checks. A sad fact of modern life. Pick up and Shipping is the BUYERS RESPONSIBILITY. I will be more than happy to make the vehicle ready and available to pick up, once funds have cleared. There is no warranty expressed or implied – winning bidder understands this vehicle is being sold “AS IS”. Winning bidder is responsible for insuring the vehicle after purchase and it is highly recommended in the event damage occurs during the shipping process. Please feel free to ask questions and bid on this truck. On Feb-28-11 at 11:01:41 PST, seller added the following information: I screwed up the photo link.
