Vehicle Detail
I'm listing this car for a friend... since as he puts it, he literally had to try not get his tears on the service records as he was taking these pictures... He is meticulous, this car is his baby and he has always made sure it received the love and attention it commanded. He now has two more babies (two beautiful girls) and he is forced to part ways with his first love. Never has a service issue been left undone, everything has been taken care of immediately as it came up. The car has had only three owners since new, includes a complete and thorough service history and is sure to make her next owner very proud. The car is currently available for viewing outside of DC, but (weather permitting) can be brought to NYC for a serious buyer. If you have been looking for a well-cared for, quality 308 at a realistic price, this is your car. Highlights include: BodyThe car was fully repainted in 2004 by Ferrari of NC. The body is in excellent shape and the paint shines beautiful in it's original red color. The only minor imperfections are slight bubbles on the bottom of the doors and a small imperfection on the front bumper. InteriorThe interior is in great condition and shows only a minor patina from 30 years of gentle use. MechanicalAs stated above, the car was always given whatever it needed when it needed it. A full binder documenting the service history is included. Most recently the car has been serviced by Competizione Sports Cars in Gaithersburg MD http://www.competizionecars.com/ (Ferrari Factory trained staff, ex Ferrari of Washington staff and Italian run) Formally it was under the care of the most famous and award winning vintage Italian shop, Grand Touring, Inc. Grand Touring did the major service at 58K miles in 2004. Other recent service highlights preformed by Competizione include a clutch, refurbished radiator and high-efficency fans. Upon recent inspection Competizione found the belts to be in good shape and advised that it shouldn't need a major service (timing belts and seals) for a couple more years. The car is wearing period-correct (and very expensive), metric Michelins with good tread. OtherThe car includes the manual, 308 Car Cover, and leather roof cover. It is missing the spare tire, tools and spare keys. I have done my best to honestly describe this car's condition, however, I strongly recommend you inspect it yourself or arrange for a third party to inspect it before purchasing. I will not take responsibility for any misinterpretation of this listing. This a 31 year-old vehicle and it is not perfect. It is also possible I've overlooked something when writing this listing or there are issues with the car that we accept as quirks of owing an older vehicle that I've failed to list. Your bid is a binding contract to purchase the car, please do your homework before bidding. We are licensed and bonded dealers, we buy and sell a great number of vehicles and are proud of our excellent history of satisfied customers. Below are the words of one of our happy customers. "New York Classic Motors - My Experience Some time ago I bought a Ferrari from New York Classic Motors. Not only was the price more than fair, but every word, both prior to and during the sale, was absolutely true and accurate. The most amazing thing is that - 2 1/2 years later - they are still there, answering questions and doing whatever they can to make sure I remain a happy, satisfied customer. Zac Moseley, in particular, has consistently gone out of his way to make my ownership experience everything I had always hoped it would be. He, and by association the company, have earned my business, my trust, and in Zac's case, my friendship. They are that "Good Guy" dealer we've always hoped to find. Will I buy from them again? You can bank on it. Would I recommend others buy from New York Classic Motors? Unequivocally and without reservation of any kind - Yes, I would!" Lass Thompson - 1989 Ferrari 328
