Up for sale is my 1988 BMW 535 that I purchased off of ebay back in 2006. I purchased the vehicle from an individual in San Diego, CA and had it shipped to Atlanta where it has been garaged kept since then. I have driven the vehicle less than 1,000 miles since I have had it. I have a company vehicle that I drive on a daily basis and the thought was that I would enjoy it on the weekends, but I ended up only driving it back and forth to the ball park to see my kids play sports. I love the car and I have received alot of compliments over the past 4 years, but I just don't drive it enough to enjoy it. Since the purchase in 06', I have put in over $6,000 into maintaining it. I have copies of all of the maintenace records, oil changes, tire balancing etc. Keep in mind I have driven it under 1,000 miles since I have had it. Here is a list of some the things I have done to it: 5/26/06 - replaced anteena and motor, new drag link, replaced right and left short arm, 4 wheel alignment, replaced engine belts, rotated tires. $1,015.65 9/5/06 - replaced starter relay, new distributor cap, replaced rotor button, replaced ignition wire set, new bosch spark plugs, new valve cover gasket, valve adjustment, new fuel pressure regulator - $1,067.58 8/31/07 - Full tune up - $1,287.42 3/11/08 - Oxygen sensor, new brake rod bushings, replaced brake arm bushings, adjusted air flow meter and idle position switch, replaced alternator, replaced catalytic converter w/new seals, gaskets, and hardware $2,032.69 Changed the 4 metric tires to Dunlop Sport Signature 205/55R16 tires (Less than 500 miles on the tread) Overall the vehicle runs great and is excellent shape for being over 20 years old, NO RUST (Most of its life was spent in California), NO Oil LEAKS. The vehicle has a sunroof, black leather interior, which it is showing its age with cracking, but no rips or tears, the carpet is in good shape, a few small cracks on the dashboard. The AC works great, blows cold air in the summer. Here are a few details that need to be addressed: The odomoter, speedometer, and temperature gauge are not working, maybe a relay switch, fuse, etc? I am not sure, have not messed with it. The odometer is reading 264,000 miles, it should be around 265,000 actual miles on it. I have a low reserve set on the vehicle and will let it go for a fraction of what I got into it.
