Vehicle Detail

1967 Chevy Impala Convertible: Red with black top. This car has a 327 with a powerglide transmission it in. It has a power convertible top-- works well-- goes up and down with no problem. Runs and drives well-- passed inspection last May. It has Rally wheels with like new BF Goodrich tires. Current owner has had it for 15 years... purchased at Fast Lane Classic Cars. It was driven for a while but now sits most of the time. Comes with a free and clear Missouri title. Some things to note: the engine is not original to the car. The engine ID code on the block just under the front of the passenger side head is 0802FB. This indicates a 1969 327 engine with a 2 barrel carb. The original intake and carb to this engine were removed and replaced with an Edelbrock intake and 4 barrel carb. The originals are included. Many other parts, accessories, and the original owners manual are also included. This car was built in the St. Louis factory. A gas pedal has also been installed since the photos were taken. The vehicle also has rear air suspension that can be pumped up to raise the rear end. The transmission leaks some fluid after the car isn't driven for a while. The speedometer works but the odometer has not worked for a while. The horn, lights, wipers, heater, fan, blinkers, and brights all work fine. Some things to note about the interior and exterior: The interior is original so it does have some spots on the seats that have been taped where separations have occurred. The top also has a couple of spots with small tears and the rear plastic window is fogged over. The passenger door will need to be re-aligned: you have to pick up on the door to close it all the way. There are some other uneven gaps around the body as well. The weather stripping is worn around the doors, windows, and top. The exterior is showing some rust around the driver's side rear wheel well. The undercarriage has some surface rust but nothing major. Overall it is a great car. It would make a fun weekend driver or would be a great restoration candidate as well.
