Up for bid is a very original numbers matching Unrestored 67 beetle This very original beetle has ALL of the 67 only bits and pieces that make the 67 a one year only car including sb12 headlight rings, correct bumpers etc. This classic still retains its original dealer plate frame where it was bought new in Eugene, Oregon at the Pape-Cross Volkswagen dealership. It has its owners manual with customer id card and warranty voucher showing that ALL NUMBERS MATCH. This car has never been in an accident and has arrow straight quarter panels front and rear. The doors line up nicely and open and close with ease. The car has had an exterior respray sometime in the 80's according to the previous 2nd owner. ALL other paint including dashboard, all interior metal and under hood and decklid are the original VW blue factory paint. The only rust issue with the body is a spot on the drivers side door where it appears moisture got under the respray and is about the size of a dime. The pan has a rust spot in the common battery tray area and was sealed with rust preventitive paint until a repair panel is welded in. The Original 1500cc motor has never been rebuilt, just resealed with new pushrod tube gaskets recently. The original 30pict 1 carb was just rebushed and rebuilt. It starts right up and runs smooth. New battery was installed 6 months ago. The transmission shifts smooth and has never been out of the car. only maintenance done was a fluid change, new axle boots and new axle seals. All headlights, taillights, turn signals and hazard lights work. Horn and dome light do not at this point. Up front is a 5 inch narrowed Wagenswest ball joint beam with new shocks, C.B. performance dropped spindles, new steering box, dampner and coupler. new brake shoes, cylinders, braided stainless hoses and turned og drums. The rear brakes have new shoes, cylinders, e-brake cables, drums and braided stainless hoses. All of the above suspension and brake work was one 5K ago. The interior has new carpet, door panels and seat covers from West Coast Metric, Wolfsburg West seat pads and rubber mats, and an original German Kamei parcel tray in nice shape. The dealer option radio even works. Not many exterior accessories, just the stainless Flat 4 roof rack. Wheels are American eagle 5spokes painted a mag gray. Tires have around 100 miles on them.
